Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Who was responsible for the death of 009 in "Octopussy"?

Answer: Mischka and Grischka

They were the excellent knife throwing twins who were part of Octopussy's circus. During the beginning of the movie, they were seen chasing 009, who was dressed in a clown suit, through the woods as they tried to prevent him from delivering a Fabergé egg to MI6. He was able to deliver the egg shortly before his death.
2. Fiona Volpe was shot dead by Bond in "Thunderball".

Answer: False

Bond spun Volpe around and used her body as a shield from a bullet that was intended for him. The subject as to whether Bond was actually responsible for her death is still in question to this day.
3. Who played the cold-blooded killer Emile Locque in "For Your Eyes Only"?

Answer: Michael Gothard

Locque was an enforcer working for Kristatos and was reported working for numerous drug syndicates in Hong Kong. Whenever he made a kill, he left a white dove pin beside the victim.
Davi played drug lord Franz Sanchez. Julian Glover played Locque's employer Aristotle Kristatos, while Meyer was one of the knife throwing twins in "Octopussy".
4. What popular henchman did Geoffrey Holder play?

Answer: Baron Samedi

Samedi never died in the film "Live and Let Die". The movie occurred during the height of the blaxploitation era, meaning that a lot of stereotypes were used throughout the movie. Samedi watched over Dr. Kananga's heroin fields and with the fear of voodoo throughout the area, Kananga's fields never came to any harm.
5. Which henchman met their end at the teeth of a conveyor belt?

Answer: Dario

Dario was played by Benicio Del Toro, who would later go on to win an Academy Award in the movie "Traffic". Dario was Sanchez's chief henchman in the movie "Licence to Kill". At 21 years old at the time, Del Toro was one of the youngest actors to ever play a Bond villain.
6. Which villain fed Felix Leiter to a shark in "Licence to Kill"?

Answer: Franz Sanchez

Each of these villains fed someone to a shark. In the novel "Live and Let Die" it was Mr. Big who fed Leiter to a shark.
7. Which villain was awarded the King's Medal for resistance fighting during a war in Crete?

Answer: Aristotle Kristatos

Kristatos was a Greek smuggler who wanted to sell an ATAC to the KGB in the movie "For Your Eyes Only". He met his end when his rival, Milos Columbo, threw a knife in his back.
8. Which villain was ranked in the top 50 for the greatest villains of the past 100 years?

Answer: Auric Goldfinger

Goldfinger was ranked at #49 in AFI's 100 Years...100 Heroes and Villains. He was also voted as being the most sinister of all the Bond villains, beating out Ernst Stavro Blofeld, Max Zorin, Emilio Largo and Dr. No. His scheme was to bomb Fort Knox with a radioactive device, contaminating the U.S gold supply for over 50 years.
9. How did Irma Bunt die in the film "On Her Majesty's Secret Service"?

Answer: No way of telling

The only movie she appeared in was "On Her Majesy's Secret Service" where she was responsible for the death of Bond's wife, Tracy, at the end. She was set to make an appearance in the next Bond movie, but the actress who played Bunt, Ilse Steppat, died days after the release of "On Her Majesy's Secret Service".

Some people have said that Bunt passed away from natural causes just as Steppat did. In the novels, however, she was killed after a fight with Bond.
10. Name the main villain of "The World is Not Enough" but be careful.

Answer: Elektra King

Up until the release of the movie, Renard had been promoted as the main villain. After the movie, fans and critics alike became less certain as to whether Renard was still the main villain or if it was really Elektra King, with Renard being her henchman.

They were both very villainous. Director Michael Apted cleared everything up in an interview when he stated that Elektra King, not Renard, was the main villain. This would mark the first time in a Bond movie in which a woman was the main villain. Even though Rosa Klebb was a villain in "From Russia With Love" it was clearly apparent that she was taking orders from Ernst Stavro Blofeld.
