The movie opened up on a very happy note. Jessica was telling her son how she would love to someday be his teacher, and how she could give him hugs and kisses all day long! Little did she know that disaster was about strike, for her and her family.

Then his and Jessica's conversation got cut into and he had to find who it was about to hang up on Jessica. When he found him, Ryan took his car and continued talking to her on the owner of the Porche's phone.

It turned out that he had videotaped these cops committing a dangerous crime, and if this tape were to get in the wrong hands, they would be in a lot of trouble.

Jessica's husband was in his car videotaping the area, when he came across a drug bust, and watched these cops take the drugs and shoot the dealers. They realised that he had taped what just happened and vowed to find him and get the tape. All the cops knew was that some stranger just caught them do something illegal on tape.

In self defense Jessica grabbed a piece of glass and slit his arm. As a biology teacher she was aware that cutting the artery would eventually kill him. After he collapsed, she escaped from the room to get the rest of her family.

Ryan told the kidnappers to meet him at the pier. It was hard to spot him because he was wearing a hood while talking to them with an ear piece.

Chloe was furious at him for not keeping his promise. She pulled off his hood and started yelling at him for lying and not picking up the t-shirts. Due to some unfortunate events, Ryan became very preoccupied.

It was an emotional, yet happy ending. The Martins were saved, the corrupt cops were killed, except one who was arrested, and Ryan regained Chloe's respect.
