Kristin Scott Thomas is an understated British actress who starred in the films "Gosford Park" (2001), "The Golden Compass" (2007) and "The Other Boleyn Girl" (2008).

"St Trinian's" was based on a book of cartoons by Ronald Searle. Each cartoon told of the adventures of pupils and teachers at the fictional St Trinian's school. Geoffrey Thwaites was the Education Minister who visited the run down school where he met his former love who happened to be the head teacher, Miss Fritton. The school children, along with loveable rogue Flash Harry, found out that the school was in need of money so they stole the famous painting, Girl with a Pearl Earring. Mr Darcy in the film was the dog.

"Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy" was a 1974 spy thriller written by John le Carré. It told of George Smiley (Gary Oldman) who was searching for a mole in the British government. Each of the suspects were given code names such as Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Poorman and Beggarman. The spy was located at the end of the film, but I won't spoil your fun by telling you who it was!

"A Single Man" was a book written in 1964 by Christopher Isherwood. It told of George Falconer, a teacher living in California during 1962. George decided to commit suicide months after his gay lover was killed in a car accident. He befriended a student who locked away the gun that George was going to use on himself. The film also starred Julianne Moore as his female friend.

Answer: Another Country

"Another Country" was a 1984 film which starred Colin Firth and Rupert Everett. The year before, he had starred in the stage production with the same name, taking over the role of Tommy Judd from actor, Kenneth Branagh. Rupert Everett played Guy Bennett, a gay pupil at a British boarding school. He befriended Tommy Judd as they were both outsiders for different reasons. Judd was oppressed by the school system due to being a Marxist.
