Then he goes over to Kale's house, knocks Ronnie unconscious, ties Kale up, and forces him to begin writing a suicide note to Ashley. Ashley then shows up at Kale's house and the two teenagers ward off Turner and escape the house. Ashley runs back to her house to call 911.

Kale escapes from Turner and runs over to Turner's house, with a pair of garden shears as a weapon, to look for his mom. He finds her tied up in the basement with Turner there holding a knife at her throat. In the end, Kale stabs Turner with the shears and kills him in self-defense.

The police then show up to find Kale and his mom exiting Turner's house from the garage. In the morning, Detective Parker, the detective who incarcerated Kale, says Kale is free to be released early for "good behavior".
