1. Day Wheeze Her Dove Vase

Answer: The Wizard of Oz

This movie is about a little girl, named Dorothy Gale, who gets caught in a tornado. When her house finally lands she finds she's not in Kansas anymore, but the mystical land of Oz. She goes on adventures, meets new friends, and escapes the Wicked Witch's plans to steal her ruby slippers. Dorothy's hoping the Wizard will help her get home again. "The Wizard of Oz" was directed by Victor Fleming and released in 1939.

It included many stars such as Frank Morgan, Ray Bolger, Jack Haley, Bert Lahr, Margaret Hamilton, and Billie Burke.

It won two Oscars for Best Music/Original Score by Herbert Stothart and Best Music/Original Song by Harold Arlen and E.Y. "Yip" Harburg.
2. Hayes Tar Rest Bow Urn

Answer: A Star Is Born

Esther Blodgett used to sing at small clubs with her band, until she met Norman Maine. He was a famous star, but his drinking was making his career go downhill. The two get together, and he convinces her to go to Hollywood, where she becomes famous. His career, on the other hand, hasn't been fixed. "A Star is Born" was directed by George Cukor in 1954, and was like Judy Garland's comeback.

It gave her new songs to add to her repertoire, like "The Man that Got Away", and it was nominated for six Oscars.

The film was long, at the premiere version of 181 minutes, but was one of Garland's favorite movies that she did.
3. Eye Stir Purr Aid

Answer: Easter Parade

When Don Hewes's dancing partner leaves him for something better, he tells his friend he can pick any showgirl from the bar and make her a star. He picks Hannah Brown, and despite a rocky start she gets famous and falls in love with Don. Tensions rise as Nadine Hale, Don's old dance partner, has a dance with Don in front of her and everyone else, leaving Hannah sad that Don sees her as only a dance partner. "Easter Parade", 1948, was directed by Charles Walters and included Fred Astaire, Peter Lawford, and Ann Miller.

It won one Oscar, and was famous for many of its catchy songs and dances by Astaire and Garland, including "Drum Crazy", "It Only Happens When I Dance With You", "A Fella with an Umbrella", and a song Garland performed many times after that, "A Couple of Swells".
4. Saw More Stuck

Answer: Summer Stock

Jane Falbury allows a group of actors to practice their play in her barn, as a favor to her sister Abigail. Abigail is engaged to the director of the play, Joe Ross. After spending time with the actors who promise to help with chores around the farm in return for the barn, Jane and Joe start to fall for each other.
"Summer Stock" was Garland's last movie with M.G.M. It was made in 1950 and also starred Gene Kelly. The film was directed by Charles Walters and got one Writers Guild of America nomination for Best Written American Musical by George Wells and Sy Gomberg.
5. Tea Pie Ray It

"The Pirate" was directed in 1948 by Garland's second husband Vincente Minelli. It was nominated for an Oscar for Best Music/Scoring of a Musical Picture, by Lennie Hayton. The movie was made at M.G.M, and included songs such as "Mack the Black" and "Love of My Life" by Cole Porter.
6. Dee Are Vee Grills

Susan Bradley is on her way west as a mail order bride. On the way she meets a bunch of women who are heading to open up a restaurant. When Susan and her new husband realize their relationship isn't working, she joins the Harvey girls. Romance sparks when she meets Ned Trent, the owner of the Harvey House restaurant's competition saloon, across the street. "The Harvey Girls", 1946, was directed by George Sidney.

It won an Oscar for Best Music/Original Song by Harry Warren and Johnny Mercer, and was nominated for another Oscar for Best Music/Scoring of a Musical Picture, by Lennie Hayton. Ray Bolger was in it with her, singing along together to "On the Atchison, Topeka and the Santa Fe" and dancing to "Swing Your Partner Round and Round".
7. Meat Mean Sign Lois (Or possibly Meat Mean Sign Lieu We)

Answer: Meet Me In St. Louis

The whole Smith family is awaiting the arrival of the St. Louis fair that's approaching. Esther, however, is also excited by the fact that a boy has moved in next door. She fails to attract his attention at first, but tries her best and eventually succeeds. Nobody is happy to find out that Mr. Smith has a new job offering, and the family is going to be moving away...no fair...no boy next door. "Meet Me in St. Louis" was directed in 1944 by Vincente Minelli.

At first Garland wasn't sure about the role because she thought it would take her right to where she didn't want to be anymore, a young girl.

But she was persuaded to do it, and it was a good choice. It was nominated for 4 Oscars, and it gave her one of the songs she sang long after the movie was over, "The Trolley Song".
8. Form Ian Mygale

Answer: For Me and My Gal

Jo Hayden, Jimmy Metcalf and Harry Palmer are a vaudeville group hoping to play at the Palace Theater. When it's time to get drafted for WWI, Palmer purposely smashes his hand so he doesn't have to go, causing the group to split up while Hayden and Metcalf go on to entertain the soldiers. Garland starred in "For Me and My Gal" (1942) with George Murphy and Gene Kelly.

It was directed by Busby Berkeley, who Garland didn't get along well with. It was nominated for one Oscar for Best Music/Scoring of a Musical Picture, by Roger Edens and George E. Stoll, and she sang "Chicago" in it, which her fans loved to hear.
9. Stray Yuck Cup Tea Bond

Jimmy Connors and Mary Holden want to be a part of Paul Whiteman's band, but they don't have enough money and their school doesn't help them out. When they happen to meet Whiteman in person, they convince him to give them the money so they have a chance. An accident in the end leads Jimmy and Mary to make a tough decision. This was one of the countless movies Garland starred in with Mickey Rooney. Time and time again people wanted them to be together.

It was directed in 1940 by Busby Berkeley, and won an Oscar for Best Sound/Recording, by Douglas Shearer. Garland and Rooney sing many songs, including "Strike up the Band", "Our Love Affair", "Do the Conga", and "Nell of New Rochelle".
10. Bay Abe Sin Are Rims

Mickey Moran and Patsy Barton are the children of vaudevillian parents who are never around, and decide they'd rather not be sent to the trade school everyone else is going to. Mickey and Patsy start their own vaudeville show, and a judge tells them they have 30 days to put on their show and prove they don't need to go to the school.
Yet again, "Babes in Arms" was another Judy/Mickey movie. It was directed in 1939 by Busby Berkeley at M.G.M and was nominated for two Oscars. Some of the songs include "Good Morning", "Broadway Rhythm", "Oh Susanna", and appropriately "Babes in Arms".
