'American Pie' was made in 1999 and is a bawdy comedy about four high-school seniors who make a secret pact. It stars Jason Biggs, Jennifer Coolidge and Shannon Elizabeth. The screenplay, by Adam Herz, was originally titled: "Untitled Teenage Sex Comedy That Can Be Made For Under $10 Million That Most Readers Will Probably Hate But I Think You Will Love". It was, in fact, made for US$11 million, and made US$235 million in box office sales worldwide.

"For a Few Dollars More" was a 1965 Spaghetti Western starring Clint Eastwood. It's original title in Italian was "Per qualche dollaro in più". It was the second of a trilogy of movies that also included "A Fistful of Dollars" (1964) and "The Good, the Bad and the Ugly" (1966). Clint Eastwood played 'The Man With No Name' in each of the movies, and in "For a Few Dollars More" he plays one of two bounty hunters (along with Lee Van Cleef) chasing after the outlaw 'El Indio' and his gang.

"The Philadelphia Story" is a 1940 comedy starring Katharine Hepburn, Cary Grant and James Stewart. The plot is that of Hepburn, a socialite who is about to be married, when everything is disrupted by the arrival of her ex-husband (Grant) and a tabloid reporter (Stewart). After a series of comical mishaps and witty, sophisticated lines by all involved, Hepburn ends up remarrying her true love once again. Hepburn's career was revitalised following the release of the movie and Stewart won an Academy Award for his performance. Grant, who had demanded top billing and a then high salary of $137,000, promptly donated that salary to an organisation for the British War Relief Society. America, at that stage, had not yet re-entered that international field of horror again.

Tension occurred when a mysterious woman came into town, who promptly fell in love with the Sheriff.

'The Prince and the Showgirl' was released in 1957 and co-starred Laurence Olivier. Marilyn plays a cabaret dancer who is invited to supper at the Carpathian Embassy in Britain. On the day before Nicolas is to go back to his own country, Marilyn tells him what she knows and he is impressed. He says that he is in love and wants her to return to his country. 'The English Patient' was released in 1996. The film stars Ralph Fiennes (of 'Skyfall', 'No time to Die', 'The Kings Man', and 'Schindler's List' fame), and Juliette Binoche. A supporting cast includes Kristin Scott Thomas, Willem Dafoe, and Colin Firth. Set in Italy in the last days of WWII, it follows the relationship between a young Canadian nurse, and the very badly burned crash victim she is tasked with looking after. The injured man has no ID and is burnt so badly he is unrecognisable. Not knowing anything about him at all, other than that he has a British accent, the staff refer to him as simply 'The English Patient'. Among its many awards, the film won 9 Academy Awards, 5 BAFTA awards and 2 Golden Globes.
