1. What kind of vehicle was featured in a 2008 Clint Eastwood movie of the same name?

Answer: Gran Torino

Eastwood portrays Walt Kowalski, a Korean war veteran and a retired Ford assembly line worker. He had bought a 1972 Gran Torino brand new while working at Ford. A neighbor, a young Asian boy, attempts to steal the car as a gang initiation. Eastwood catches him and has the boy work around his house to make things right.

The two develop a strong friendship and Eastwood is later killed while standing up for his friend's sister. Eastwood, estranged from his family, leaves the boy his prized Gran Torino at the end.

Natalie Wood played the role of Maria, and Richard Beymar. "West Side Story" was written by Leonard Bernstein, and the film received 12 Academy Award nominations, it won eight, including Best Picture. Neither lead was nominated, although supporting actor Oscars were taken home by Rita Moreno and George Chakiris for this film.
