"American Sniper" is a 2014 film that tells the life story of Chris Kyle, played by Bradley Cooper. Kyle is a sniper in the U.S. Navy Seals. He is a very skilled shooter but has problems dealing with his emotions, especially after he kills a woman and child. He also has problems adjusting to his civilian life when he returns home from the war, leading to marital trouble with his wife Taya (Sienna Miller).

Bradley Cooper was nominated for a Best Actor Oscar in 2015 for this role but lost to Eddie Redmayne for "The Theory of Everything".

"The Words" is a 2012 film starring Bradley Cooper and Zoe Saldana as Rory and Dora Jansen, a married couple in a story written by Clayton Hammond (Dennis Quaid). The film is mostly told from the perspective of Hammond who is reading his newest book aloud. Rory is a struggling writer whose manuscripts do not sell and do not get published. Rory comes across an old manuscript someone else wrote and is convinced to try to sell that manuscript to a publisher (Dora thinks the manuscript is Rory's).
