Patrick Dempsey played Thomas "Tom" Bailey in this movie. He was a very rich bachelor who had some strange rules about dating women. His best friend, Hannah, was played by Michelle Monaghan. They had a great friendship. Upon hearing that Hannah was to be married, Tom decided to show Hannah that he loved her.

Patrick also starred in the movie "Enchanted" (2007) as Robert Philip and played Andrew Hennings in "Sweet Home Alabama" (2002).

Not only did Tom look like Bill Clinton, he actually sounded like him. This scene was at Cornell University, on October 31st, 1998. The song "Walking in the Sun" by Smashmouth was playing in the background.

"Bill" snuck in to see "Monica", only to find her roommate instead. This was the first time we saw Hannah. She sprayed him in the eyes with perfume as she thought he was an intruder.

Gloria was the blonde girl who picked up Tom's coffee by mistake. When Tom got into his car, he realized that she had placed her phone number on the sleeve that goes around the coffee (so you don't burn your hands). Tom invented that sleeve. My question, if she picked it up by accident, did she put her number on the sleeve by accident too?

The late great Sydney Pollack played Tom Bailey, Sr. As he was in the church, you heard him talking to his new wife and her lawyer about the pre-nuptial agreement. Sydney Pollack was a great Academy Award-winning director. He was also an actor and a producer. One of the best movies he directed was "Tootsie" (1982) where he acted as well. Sadly, he died of cancer in his home on May 26th, 2008.

Hannah had finally got her bosses to agree to send her to Scotland. There was a home in Scotland that had some great ancestral paintings. The trip was to last six weeks. Tom thought this was a good thing for his friend Hannah. He didn't know how much he was going to miss her.

Colin McMurray was played by Kevin McKidd. Colin's wealth was similar to Tom's wealth. Colin was born in Scotland, was a duke and a good athlete. When Tom and Colin first met, Hannah asked Tom to be her "Maid of Honor". Tom fell off his chair. From the look in his eyes, Tom realized that he really loved Hannah.

Hillary appeared to not be a size eight. It was commented that she might feel more comfortable in a twelve. However, Hillary said that she was on a regimen of water, peach resin, apple pectin, shark extract and Lowry Seasoning Salt. This sounded horrible! It was supposed to help her lose weight.

She was lucky enough to get into that size eight only to have the sides rip during the ceremony. Obviously, this was not her actual size.

Elisabeth's video, called "Twelve Steps Down the Aisle" showed how someone can become the perfect Maid of Honor.

Elisabeth first appeared on "Survivor: The Australian Outback" (2001) where she placed fourth. She was credited as Elisabeth Filarski during that time.

The Highland Games were a tradition in Colin's family, where the groom had to prove he was man enough to deserve his bride. Colin handily won the competition.

One of the events that Tom had trouble with was the Caber toss. The object of the Caber toss was to throw a log, making it flip end over end to try and make it hit the ground upright. The closer a competitor got their toss to land in the upright or twelve o'clock position, the better they would do.

After the kiss at the party, she knew she loved Tom too. Hannah went up to talk to Tom about her conflicted feelings, but saw Melissa half naked on top of Tom. She thought he was his old self but she couldn't have been more wrong.

Tom broke up the wedding to tell Hannah that he loved her. After Colin punched Tom, we saw the wedding of Tom and Hannah back in New York City. What a great ending to a great story.
