1. It's raining outside, so I've decided to invite some friends over for a Hollywood-style sleepover. 5. We leave the movie theater feeling satisfied. Emily says Viggo did a great job. But her favorite actor is still Orlando Bloom, and she thinks we should watch one of his films next. I ask her which one, and she replies, "Come on! The one with pirates and Johnny Depp in it!" I don't hear anyone complain, so I put in the DVD.
6. Rachel, who has been relatively quiet, finally speaks up. "Guys, you know what I feel like watching?" she says. "An animated movie!" We look through our collection and a general favorite is quickly agreed upon. It's about a little clown fish who is captured by a diving dentist.
7. We take a little break to change into our pajamas and brush our teeth. When we return to the living room, we see that Brittany has already popped in another Disney animated movie. This one is about a little Hawaiian girl who adopts an alien, thinking he's a dog.
8. Stephanie then suggests a football movie, in which Denzel Washington stars as the coach of a football team. He tries to overcome racism by mixing the black players with the white ones, and he succeeds.
9. "You think that was good?" asks Cassie. "Wait till you see this next one!" She pulls out another Disney movie that features a mostly male cast. The difference is, this one is a musical and stars Christian Bale. It was a flop when it came out in theaters in the early 1990s, but Cassie and I still love it anyway.
10. It's the crack of dawn. Only Corky, Kiley, and I are still awake (thanks to too much Mountain Dew). "Come on, guys. We can take one more," says Kiley. "How about another Christian Bale movie?" I say a silent prayer that Kiley isn't wanting to watch "Swing Kids" or "Reign of Fire", since I don't want my dreams (if I get to have any) to be disturbed. But to my utmost delight, Kiley chooses a pirate movie, in which Christian plays a cabin boy turned hero.
