Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. There are several taglines for the 1974 film 'Don't Open the Window'. One of these choices is one of the real taglines; the others are made up. Pick the real tagline.

Answer: What ever's out there will wait!

'Don't Open the Window' also goes by the alternate title 'Let Sleeping Corpses Lie'. Other taglines for this film are, "They tampered with nature - now they must pay the price...", "Your tearing flesh will scream for death", and "One of the best zombie films ever made"... to name a few.
2. Which one of these films has the tagline, "Pray for day!"?

Answer: Hell Night

'Hell Night' is a 1981 horror film starring Linda Blair. It is about four college pledges who spend a night in an old mansion where murders took place 12 years earlier. Unfortunately for them, someone might still be living there - someone who doesn't take kindly to unwanted visitors.
3. "Golf - A Game of Hooks, Slices and... Slaughter" is the tagline for which of these films?

Answer: Blades

'Blades' is a 1989 Troma film. It is about a killer lawnmower that causes severe havoc on a golf course. This film has a hilariously uncanny resemblance to the classic 1975 film 'Jaws'. Another tagline for this quirky gem is, "Just When You Thought It Was Safe To Putt".
4. What is the tagline for the 2012 movie titled 'Barricade'?

Answer: Lock your doors

'Will & Grace' star Eric McCormack plays the role of a father who decides to take his son and daughter to a cabin that is in the middle of nowhere up in the snowy mountains to get some peace and quiet. What happens to them once they are up there is anything but peaceful!
5. "They're Waiting... For You!" is the tagline for this David Cronenberg creeper. Which one?

Answer: The Brood

This classic 1979 film stars Oliver Reed and Samantha Eggar. Eggar plays the role of Nola Carveth. She is seeing a psychotherapist who performs an unusual technique on her called "psychoplasmics". However, things don't turn out well for certain people whenever Nola becomes angry or very stressed.

When she becomes upset, she is then able to give birth to a large brood of dwarf-like, murderous children who obediently carry out her violent tendencies by killing.
6. Pick the film that has the tagline "This year, it's not the turkey being carved for Thanksgiving".

Answer: Home Sweet Home

This 1981 horror slasher stars Jake Steinfeld and Vinessa Shaw. Steinfeld plays a maniac who escapes from a mental hospital. He is so intent on stalking and murdering the members and guests of the Bradley family that he steals a station wagon and races to their house to do the deed, running down a poor little old lady in the process.
7. "If it can't scare them to death, it will find another way" is the tagline to which one of these films about a huge killer rat?

Answer: Of Unknown Origin

This 1983 film stars Peter Weller (of 'RoboCop' fame) who plays Bart Hughes. When his wife and son leave him behind to go on vacation together, he begins working on an important project for his job. Instead of finishing his work in peace, he finds that their home is occupied by an over-sized rodent and proceeds to destroy the whole house while trying to kill it.

It becomes a battle between man and beast! Shannon Tweed stars as his wife, Meg.
8. Here's another rodent film for you... the 1982 film titled 'Deadly Eyes'. What's the tagline?

Answer: Tonight, they will rise from the darkness beneath the city... to feed!

In this horror film revolving around killer rats, a contamination in Toronto causes the rodents to grow and become stronger due to steroids in grains. The city's residents then have to worry about becoming a meal to the over-sized carnivores as they begin eating people. During the making of the film, dachshunds were put in rat suits to be made to look like the huge rats.
9. Which of these sequels has the tagline "The dead don't sleep."?

Answer: The Ring Two

'The Ring Two' (2005) is the sequel to the 2002 film 'The Ring'. Naomi Watts reprises her role as Rachel. She and her son Aidan once again encounter killer Samara. This time, she takes over Aidan's soul. Other taglines for this film include "Fear comes full circle" and "It begins again".
10. The 1989 slasher titled 'Intruder' is about an overnight team in a grocery store. While they are working, someone is in the store with them and is killing them off one by one. What is the tagline to this film?

Answer: If This One Doesn't Scare You... You're Already Dead!

The employees are working overnight taking inventory when all the murders start happening. This film stars Renee Estevez, Sam and Ted Raimi, and Bruce Campbell.
