1. In the beginning of the movie, Katie is killed one week after watching the cursed video. Where is her body found?

The film opens on Katie and Becca, both of whom are together in the evening at Katie's place. While Katie talks about a video that can kill someone if they watch it in seven days, Katie gets increasingly worried because she watched said video a week earlier. Becca disappears into the house shortly after a phone call is received and Katie is left on her own as a series of weird events occur in the kitchen. Heading upstairs, she finds water leaking from her bedroom and turns the knob to find an image on her TV screen before it cuts to static. Her body is later found in her closet, bloated and disfigured, as her aunt Rachel hears from friends on the evening of her funeral.

Samara Morgan was the adopted child of Anna and Richard Morgan. Anna could be classified as a killer because she did kill Samara, but that was a very small part of the movie. Samara died in a well, and she climbed out of it as a ghost and came out of the televisions of unsuspecting victims who watched her cursed tapes. Rachel was the main protagonist of the movie; she wanted to end the curse.

In the original, Samara was played by Daveigh Chase, but she turned down the part for the sequel. Instead, Kelly Stables took the part. Chase's role as Samara is still used in the sequel (as archive footage from the first movie), but only as the "normal" looking Samara (as in not dead and creepy). Naomi Watts still played Rachel and David Dorfman still played Aidan. Sissy Spacek played Evelyn only in the sequel; she wasn't replaced as she didn't exist the first movie.

Interestingly, Rachel and Noah later find a single wooden chair sitting in the center of the loft in the barn on the Morgan ranch on Moesko Island, the spot where Samara was forced to sleep after she was adopted by the family. The chair is seen for a third time, though in a dream that Rachel has. She finds Samara sitting in the chair in Aidan's room.

After people watched Samara's cursed tapes, they got a phone call from her. She said "Seven days" when the victim picked up the phone, which signified that they had seven days left to live. Samara had nothing to do with people who set foot in her house (that was from 'The Grudge' (2004) ), and as far as we know, no one ever threw things inside her well.

Whenever Aidan calls her mommy, she knows it isn't him because Aidan calls her only by her name. This is evident in both the first movie and the sequel. His eyes turn blue in the bathtub scene, but it is such a crazy and confusing moment that it is unclear even to Rachel what exactly is going on. His tone of voice never changes; Aidan retains his body after all. It is evident that he has a pulse even when he's possessed by the hospital monitor that also displays his current temperature.

While the tape was being burned, it made weird screeching sounds which one could connect with Samara's rage. Also, Rachel told Aidan directly, how Samara became angry with Rachel's ambitions, so she had a desire to harm him now. Little did she know of Samara's clever little plan.

Rachel arrives at the Shelter Mountain Inn and asks about Katie and her friends' visit a week earlier to discover that they stayed in Cabin 12. They had a lot of complaints, mainly about the TV; it's kind of why the place got tape players for videos a while back. Rachel decides to take a night in the cabin and, while she waits for the paperwork, nabs a peculiar, unmarked VHS off the shelf. The place is certainly rustic. When Rachel arrives, the sun seems to be setting, casting a red glow on the cabin. She pops the VHS into the machine at 5:13 and static fills the screen before the ring appears. What follows is a stream of cryptic images, some featuring people and others not. The film ends with a woman throwing herself off a cliff and a stone well in the middle of a forest before flipping to static. Seconds after Rachel turns off the TV, the phone rings. A girl's voice on the other end tells her... 'seven days'.

After their seven days were up, Samara crawled out of her victim's television. This thoroughly terrified them, and she slowly progressed towards them. Then the hair covering her face moved, and she stared at them with her horrific face. This severely distorted their faces, killing them instantly.

All of the other choices were actors in the first movie. Martin Henderson played Noah, Brian Cox played Richard Morgan, and Adam Brody played Kellen (a minor role). Simon Baker plays the main male role in the sequel and he is killed by Samara in the end. Martin Henderson shared the same fate in the original.

Before any of the other things happened, Aidan had a nightmare that Samara came out of their T.V. and grabbed him. He awakened screaming Rachel's name, which was where she noticed his unusually low temperature. Since Aidan was partially possessed at this point, he lied to Rachel and told her that he forgot what his nightmare was about.
