A kid with a Frankenstein mask called to his friends to "hurry up" because they were giving away full size candy bars on Thompson Street. The next scene showed that group of kids outside of a house they thought was haunted. The house ended up being Doctor Strange's residence.

Voiced by Mike Vaughn, Sitwell appeared as a monster in this film. He had his arm ripped off by The Hulk, and a few moments later climbed on Hulk's back and attempted to take a bite out of him.

During the heat of battle The Hulk pulverized Man-Thing into a liquid form. However as soon as Hulk stopped smashing on the parts of him that had liquefied, Man-Thing reformed in front of Hulk. Moments later Hulk was attacked by Sitwell and later Warwolf.

Jasper Sitwell was the other member of the team. The Howling Commandos were called in to help protect the physical bodies of Dr. Strange and The Hulk (Bruce Banner) as they went on a journey into the spirit realm. Sitwell called the team the Paranormal Containment Unit, though the rest of the team disliked the designation.

Specifically he used the Hulkbuster version of Iron Man's armor. Funny that the human form of the Hulk used Hulkbuster armor. This was while in the dream dimension though, where a separate version of the Hulk existed. Banner needed the protection from his own subconscious.

Nightmare was voiced by Matthew Waterson. Nightmare was kidnapping children in their dreams and turning their physical bodies into monsters. All of that was to help him gain a foothold into the physical world and cross over. In the comics Nightmare is known as the ruler of the dream realm, though that wasn't specifically stated in this movie.

Altogether there were four children, two of each gender. Three of them were able to conquer their fears and return their mortal bodies to human form. Anna was unable to beat her demon at first and needed extra help. Benito, in his astral form stepped in to help her and was hit by Nightmare's cosmic beams and was turned back into a monster until Banner, Hulk and Dr. Strange could defeat him.

Benito's astral form merged with his fear and turned into a Minotaur. When he came back to Earth his physical form had also transformed back. He had the body of the minotaur, but his own mind. He ended up joining the Howling Commandos when Dr. Strange was unable to return him to his human form.

The movie ended with the Howling Commandos having a group therapy session with Dr. Strange. They all had to wait inside his mansion for nightfall as the fight had taken up until sunrise. They all decided the world wasn't quite ready for them to not be considered monsters when walking around during the day.

Hulk spoke first at the meeting, and told them that he hated public speaking.
