Edna, a well-known newspaper columnist and anti-alcohol advocate, confessed over the phone to Marty who was posing as Carl Sagan at the time.

Marty recorded the confession and turned it in to Officer Parker.

Emmett was an only child. While fighting with his father it came out that he thought he was a lot like Judge Brown.

Emmett had been accused of being like his mom, so he described himself and realized that he was more like his dad. That led to a breakthrough where they started talking to each other again.

After arguing and making up with his father Emmett got into his machine and showed it off to the crowd at the expo. It worked well and Emmett finally proved to his father than he could make it as a scientist.

After proving his machine worked, Emmett was banned from the expo because his machine flew around the room and caused a mess in the gymnasium.

The machine worked, but the demonstration was considered a failure because of the accident. Emmett said it was a setback like that which could help inform the future.

Edna, who was running from Officer Parker after admitting that she was the arsonist, was shown outside of the expo inside the car.

She ran over the alternate version of Doc. Brown who faded out of existence and the original version of Doc. Brown from 1986 came back in time to rescue Marty.

Edna disappeared in the car while being chased by Parker, and they didn't know to what date she may have jumped to.

Edna traveled back in time and changed the future, causing the version of 1931 that Doc and Marty were in to disappear around them.

Edna had traveled back in time to 45 years previously and stopped the entire town from being built.

Beau Tannen was the first member of his family to settle into Hill Valley. While she was back in time she thought that he was the root of all evil in the area and decided to stop him from corrupting the youth of the region.

Tannen was trying to build a saloon in the area, so she burnt it down before it opened.

She did so by running everyone out of the area and stopping the city from ever existing.

Answer: Mary Pickford

She picked the name of a famous actress from her own time. She settled into Hill Valley and eventually became what she hated most, a hooligan.

No matter what time she was in, 1876, 1931 or 1986 she absolutely hated lawbreakers. She didn't think it was bad to burn down saloons though.
