Answer: Todd

Todd's character is played by Anson Mount. He only has one scene at the beginning of the film. He's fooling around with Maggie in the bathroom during a high school class reunion. When he calls Rose to pick up her sister because she is so drunk, Rose has no idea who Todd is.

When Rose arrives where the class reunion had been held she sees Maggie passed out on a chair in the lounge. "Those are MY shoes." She immediately says to Maggie.

Answer: red

Rose really wants Maggie to find a job, so she circles potential jobs in the newspaper. She places the help wanted ads in the freezer knowing that Maggie will go looking for food in the morning. She gets ice cream out of the freezer and sees an ad for MTV Vee-Jays instead.

She doesn't get the job because it requires her to read from the screen and into the camera. Maggie suffers from dyslexia.

Answer: Honey Bun Two

When the sisters were younger, their mother got them a dog that they named Honey Bun, but they only had him for one day. Maggie and Rose tell a story, later in the movie, of how their father got angry at their mother, called her an unfit mother and gave the original Honey Bun away.

Answer: She is a home decorator.

Their Stepmother has Marcia on a pedestal. "My Marcia is coming to brunch." "I'm turning this bedroom into a nursery for my Marcia's baby." My Marcia this and My Marcia that. It's pretty funny!

At Rose's Bridal shower her father is leaving the house and he has a sad look on his face. Rose jokes with him and asks "What is it? Is my Marcia decorating in last years colors?" He replies "No, she's joined Jews for Jesus." Which apparently has upset the stepmother.

Answer: Chicago

While in a meeting, Jim asks Rose to join him in Chicago on a business trip. Jim sends another colleague, named Simon Stein, in his place, something that Rose does not appreciate. Rose has the idea that she and Jim will spend some time together romantically.

She doesn't accept his apology when she returns from Chicago. Thus he surprises her with flowers at her apartment, not knowing she hasn't arrived home from the law office yet. Maggie is there walking around in her underwear and Rose's high heel shoes. Need I explain more?

Answer: A purple scarf

This scarf is shown when Maggie storms out of the diner, after she and Rose start arguing. Then later in the film, Rose recovers the scarf from the cushions of her couch. In this scene you can tell she misses and worries about her sister Maggie, who she hasn't heard from since she caught her in bed with Jim. Yikes!

Answer: Caroline

After Rose finds Maggie in bed with Jim, Maggie goes to her father's. While snooping around Maggie finds Birthday, Valentine and Christmas cards from her grandmother Ella, on her mother's side, who she hasn't heard from in years. Maggie looks up Ella Hirsch in the phone book while at the bus station and asks her if she had a daughter named Caroline. Maggie takes the bus from Philly to where Ella is in Florida. Ella picks Maggie up.

The two then rekindle their grandmother, granddaughter relationship.

Answer: Shirley MacLaine

This is a great role for Shirley MacLaine; she plays a confident and independent woman. She is possibly the mother figure missing from Maggie's life. Ella also defends herself when Maggie asks where she's been all of these years. She says that Michael, Rose and Maggie's father didn't want her to be a part of their lives.

Answer: Amy

Her friend Amy isn't too fond of Rose's sister Maggie, although the two do not have any scenes together. Amy consoles Rose after Jim is caught in bed with Maggie. Amy's character is played by Brooke Smith, who is more famously known in the role of Katherine Martin in 'The Silence Of The Lambs'.

Answer: Joseph Stalin

Rose is pretty hateful towards Simon in the beginning. She feels that she was intentionally set up to be travelling with Simon, instead of Jim, to Chicago. Good guys always finish last! Rose and Simon end up falling in love. Simon Stein's character is played by Mark Feuerstein, who also played in 'What Women Want' with Mel Gibson.
