Answer: washed up on a beach

During this scene Cobb is taken, by armed guards, to visit a very old Japanese man, who asks if Cobb has come to kill him. We are then taken back in time, to find how Cobb ended up on that beach. We learn that Cobb has actually entered limbo, a very dangerous place in the dream world, to retrieve that man, Saito, who was dropped into limbo. Saito was considerably younger when he dropped into limbo, but time does not flow at the same speed in various stages of dreams. Saito is played by Ken Watanabe.

Answer: Fischer's company could put Saito out of business.

Robert Fischer's father, Maurice, has created an empire that, if expanded any more, will push Saito out of business. However Maurice is dying. Saito wants Robert to believe that his father wants him to split the business up (to build his own), allowing Saito to stay in business.
Robert Fischer is played by Cillian Murphy while Maurice is played by Pete Postlethwaite.

Answer: the chance of going home to his children

Believing them to be lost in limbo, Cobb's wife, Mal, had killed herself and wanted Cobb to do the same. She felt that this was the only way for them to return to the real world. Before she did this, she filed a letter with their lawyer, saying how she was afraid that Cobb would kill her. Unfortunately they already were in the real world and when Mal jumped, so she really did kill herself.
This means that Cobb is unable to return to the States, and his children, without being arrested for his wife's murder. Saito is offering to use his not unsubstantial influence to make these charges disappear, allowing Cobb to return home.
Mal is played by Marion Cotillard.

Answer: Miles (Cobb's father-in-law)

When the attempt to gain information from Saito's mind fails, Cobb's dream architect is taken away. Cobb then visits his father-in-law, Miles, to acquire a new architect. Miles briefly tries to convince Cobb to find a more honest way of making a living and Cobb replies that he is only doing what Miles taught him to do. Cobb asserts that he never taught Cobb to be a thief, only to navigate other people's minds.
Despite his protests, Miles does hook Cobb up with one of his students, Ariadne, to be Cobb's new architect.
Miles is played by Michael Caine and Ariadne is played by Ellen Page.

Answer: in an airplane

With inception requiring a very difficult plot, a minimum of ten hours is needed to keep Fischer asleep and connected to the machine. Fischer has to fly across the Pacific, to bring his father's body home to the States and the flight is more than ten hours.
Saito has bought the airline and makes sure that the first class compartment only contains Fischer and the members of the team. Cobb drugs Fischer's water, knocking him out, and everyone quickly hooks up to the machine and enters the dream.
This is a particularly dangerous place for Cobb to be, because if things go wrong (and when don't they?) he will be arrested for murdering his wife, when he tries to clear customs and enter the States.

Answer: in a van, being driven by Yusuf

In the first level of the dream, they manage to kidnap Fischer, to submerge him in the second layer of the dream. This is done while Yusuf, the pharmacist in the group (the one who designed the drugs), is driving the white van, containing his dreaming passengers. Unfortunately Fischer has received some training in the art of protecting his dreams from being plundered, so his subconscious is responding with some very aggressive manifestations. While driving around, the van is being pursued and shot at. It is at this point that Saito is shot.
Yusuf is played by Dileep Rao.

Answer: They will go into limbo.

Limbo is a state of dreaming from which it is very difficult to escape. Time does not move at the same pace as in the real world, and years spent in limbo can take only a few minutes in the real world. It is very easy to be caught up in limbo and become confused about the fact that it isn't real. Cobb and Mal spent years in limbo together and she became so confused she thought she was still there when they really were back in the real world.
In the inception operation two members of the team are killed and have to be retrieved from limbo.

Answer: with a kick

Early in the movie, a kick is described as that jolt you feel, when you dream about falling, that wakes you up. At one point we see Cobb being kicked awake by being dropped into a bathtub full of water.

Answer: music

Still being pursued and shot at, Yusuf has to initiate the first level of the kick. He does this by driving the van off of a bridge. He plays music, which is heard by his sleeping passengers and therefore also heard by their incarnations in the other two dream levels, to indicate the kick is coming. Because time travels differently in each level of the dream (with each successive level taking longer), the team member in charge of the kick in each level knows that he has a certain amount of time to set up his kick, to wake them in his level at the same time.
Yusuf only enters the first level of the dream and is charged with the welfare of the dreamers (including the kick to wake them) in his level.
Arthur (played by Joseph Gordon-Levitt) enters the second level of the dream, but does not proceed to the third. He becomes responsible for the dreamers in the second level, including the kick.
Eames (played by Tom Hardy), goes into the third level and is responsible for the kick at that level.

Answer: Saito and Robert Fischer

Saito is shot in the first level of the dream, by one of Fischer's subconscious manifestations that is trying to rescue Fischer. The injury becomes less immediately serious, as he drops down two more levels of the dream, but eventually catches up to him and he dies. It is he whom Cobb is rescuing from limbo at the beginning of the movie.
Robert Fischer is shot by Mal, in the third level of the dream, just before inception is achieved.
Mal is a subconscious manifestation of Cobb's mind, and she is trying to sabotage the mission, so that Cobb will stay in limbo with her. Cobb and Ariadne rescue Fischer from limbo in time for the mission to be achieved. Ariadne takes Fischer up while, Cobb stays in limbo to go after Saito.
