Captain Jack Sparrow took a fancy to this song while marooned on an island with Elizabeth Swan. Johnny Depp ended the 2003 movie with trying to sing the song by himself, especially enjoying the lyrics about "really bad eggs".

Johnny Depp played Dean Corso in the 1999 film, made by Roman Polanski, and was involved determining whether an book from the 17th century was written by the devil himself.

Question by KatieK54
3. In the 1997 movie "Donnie Brasco," Johnny was sitting around with two other FBI agents discussing what a certain line used by mafia people meant, and how it could be used. What was the expression that Johnny enlightened them about?

Answer: "Forget about it"

Johnny Depp played an undercover FBI agent named Joseph D. 'Joe' Pistone, who tried to get into the mafia by acting as Donnie Brasco. Benjamin 'Lefty' Ruggiero, played by Al Pacino, vouched for him to join his group headed by Sonny Black (Michael Madsen).

In the scene, where Donnie explained what "Fuggetaboutit" meant, he was laying on the couch talking to two FBI technicians, played by Paul Giamatti and Tim Blake Nelson. Donnie finished by saying "Sometimes it just means forget about it". Question by Illini43.
4. Which director has Johnny Depp worked with several times, playing such characters as "The Mad Hatter", "Victor Van Dort" and "Willy Wonka"?

Answer: Tim Burton

Johnny Depp and director Tim Burton collaborated on several movies like "Edward Scissorhands" (1990), a modern fairy tale, "Ed Wood" (1994), about the arguably worst director in movie history, "Sleepy Hollow" (1999), a horror movie loosely based on a story by Washington Irving, "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory" (2005), a remake of "Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory", and "The Corpse Bride" (2005), an animated feature for which Johnny Depp provided the voice of Victor van Dort.

5. Above what kind of establishment does Johhny Depp, as Sweeney Todd in the film of the same name, open up his barber shop?

Answer: Mrs. Lovett's Meat Pies

"Sweeney Todd - The Demon Barber of Fleet Street" (2007), the sixth collaboration of Johnny Depp and Tim Burton, was a movie adaptation of the Broadway Musical of the same name (Music, Lyrics: Stephen Sondheim, Book: Hugh Wheeler). Todd plotted revenge against the evil Judge Turpin, who had him transported to a penal colony in Australia in order to get hold of Todd's beautiful wife Lucy. Along the way he killed whoever was bold enough to enter his barber shop in need of a shave.

The very creative Mrs. Lovett found a profitable way to dispose of the accruing corpses in baking them into her meat pies that soon become known as the best pies in London! Question by Picard25
6. In which part of London did the infamous murders committed by Jack the Ripper take place which Johnny Depp, as Inspector Frederick Abberline, was investigating in "From Hell"?

Answer: Whitechapel

Though based on real life events, "From Hell" (2001) took certain liberties with the historical occurences as with the persona of Frederick Abberline, who was chief investigator in the case. The character depicted in the movie was dependent on the intoxicating effects of drugs and Absinth, and died in an opium den shortly after the crimes were committed. No such sort of addiction was known of the real Abberline, who died in 1929 at the age of 86.

7. In what Johnny Depp 1999 film did his character have trouble with horses, use awkward devices to investigate the truth, meet an evil witch in the woods, and say the phrase, "Villainy wears many masks, none of which so dangerous as virtue..."?

Answer: Sleepy Hollow

This will always be one of my favorite Johnny Depp and Tim Burton films. Depp played Ichabod Crane, who was sent to the village of Sleepy Hollow to investigate beheadings that the villagers believed were the work of the Headless Horseman.

8. What actor plays the psychiatrist in the movie Don Juan DeMarco, who tried to help out Johnny Depp's character?

Answer: Marlon Brando

The 1994 movie, Don Juan DeMarco, starred Johnny Depp, Marlan Brando as Dr. Jack Mickler and Faye Dunaway as Jack's wife, Marilyn. Mickler had 10 days to try and help the suicidal Don Juan get released from care or to be put in an institution. The movie also had a cameo of Selena as a singer.

This would be her only movie role since she was killed a year after the movie was made. Question by Illini43
9. Although just an accountant from Cleveland, Ohio, who coincidentally shared the same name, the Native American Nobody thought Johnny Depp's character was the reincarnation of which English poet in "Dead Man"?

Answer: William Blake

Despite being an intriguing movie, "Dead Man" (1995) a modern Western directed by Jim Jarmusch didn't do well at the Box Office. Shot in black and white and with a remarkable sense for detail, the movie recounted the story of William Blake, who got hit by a bullet that was slowly killing him and - together with the American Native Nobody - tried to find his way to the Pacific Ocean and the Spirit World.
Many references throughout the movie amplified the connection to the poet William Blake, like this quote spoken by Nobody from the poem "Auguries of Innocence": "Every night and every morn, some to misery are born. Every morn and every night, some are born to sweet delight. Some are born to sweet delight; some are born to endless night."
Another remarkable detail of the underrated "Dead Man" was the soundtrack, which Neil Young allegedly improvised while he was watching the movie.
Question by Picard25
10. Johnny Depp starred along with Penelope Cruz in a 2001 movie about the cocaine business in the 1970s. What was the name of this movie where his character's name was George Jung?

Answer: Blow

Johnny starred opposite Penelope Cruz in the movie "Blow", a movie about the man who essentially brought cocaine to North America. He starred opposite Juliette Binoche in "Chocolat" in 2000. Mary Stuart Masterson acted with him in 1993 in "Benny and Joon". The 2010 movie "The Tourist", had Depp teamed up with Angelina Jolie.
