Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. All of the murders are broadcast online for viewers to watch at their leisure.

Answer: True

Somewhere in Lynwood County, a young woman is murdered along with three other family members in her own home and hidden cameras have recorded the whole thing, broadcasting the feed to viewers. A similar bunch of murders have also occurred recently in Oakwood Glen.

In each case, dozens of hidden cameras were placed throughout the victims' homes and victims were provided with weapons with which they could fend off their attackers if they so chose. The graphic violence shown to viewers was disturbing, but many were encouraged to keep watching, and so they did.
2. Jamie and her family were out of the house for how long, allowing people to set up cameras?

Answer: Ten days

Jamie Miller gets home from a trip with her father, step-mother, and brother having been gone from their home for ten days. During their absence, a group of people has set up a series of cameras-- dozens of them-- in hiding spots in every room. They get back home late at night after their vacation and go about their normal settling in for the night, complete with an argument about wallpaper choices in Jamie's room. None of them notice the multitude of cameras in nearly every conceivable spot, and Jamie doesn't think twice when her bedroom lights don't work properly.
3. What is the first gift left by the home invaders?

Answer: Lighter

Jamie quickly calls her boyfriend, Josh, on her computer and doesn't get an answer. She doesn't notice her ceiling fan moving or her closet door shifting slightly. What she does notice, however, is that her cell phone charger is missing. She decides to take a candlelit bath in the meantime, not realizing that someone is watching her with night vision goggles from outside her window. Jamie's brother, DJ, takes the trash out after being asked, and while he's outside he finds a lighter on the ground next to the trash bins topped with a little, red bow.

He doesn't have long to think about it before he's surprised from behind by his uncle, Matt, who's arrived spontaneously.
4. Uncle Matt is only allowed to stay in the house for how long?

Answer: A few days

Although Jamie's father and step-mother, Adam and Olivia, are a bit leery about having Uncle Matt stay over they can't very well kick him out, so Adam says he can stay for three days at the most and they leave it at that. Matt has a quick chat with Jamie about 'self-medicating' before going off to do his own thing, and shortly after he leaves her room, she makes use of a home pregnancy test. She finally gets a call back from Josh on her computer, but doesn't let him know how she's feeling. Almost everyone goes to bed.

Uncle Matt, who realizes his phone is missing, heads out to his car and hears a horrible noise out in the gardens next to the house, coming across a noise box on the ground. As a drone lowers in to get a better shot, he doesn't notice the killer behind him.
5. The home invaders manage to do which of the following?

Answer: Steal everyone's phones

As soon as Uncle Matt is killed, the whole process begins. As everyone in the house sleeps, someone lets themselves into the building. Jamie, who gets up to go to the bathroom and use her pregnancy test, doesn't hear the person walking down the hall outside.

The home invader ends up going into everyone's rooms and grabbing their phones from their charging devices before sealing off the exits with gates. Jamie gathers her things and races back to her room in this time. The rest of the house wakes up soon after though, knowing something is wrong.
6. Which of these does Adam come across in the kitchen?

Answer: Polaroid camera

The family heads downstairs to check out what's actually happening (believing it to be Matt) and while Adam tells the kids to hide in the bedroom, Jamie doesn't really listen. At the bottom of the stairs is another gift-- this time it's a flashlight, since the lights are all cut downstairs-- and add grabs it not knowing there's a camera inside.

He searches the house slowly and finds a red X taped to the floor in Matt's room. When he heads to the kitchen, he ends up triggering a Polaroid camera, rigged to take a surprise photo which, when it develops, reveals that there's someone right behind him.

The family watches as someone grabs him and wraps a plastic bag around his face.
7. What rule is given to the people of the household?

Answer: Kill or be killed

Olivia forces the kids into her and Adam's bedroom and they block off the door with heavy furniture in an attempt to block off the killer. This includes checking the attached bathroom to make sure they're in the room alone. Olivia, realizing the phones are gone, smashes a window so that they can yell for help, but it only results in their yelling at the drone watching from outside. Soon, they're informed via the bedroom TV that they've been under surveillance for weeks; Jamie, specifically, seems to be the target of this.

A message on-screen, written in Adam's blood downstairs, reads 'Kill or be killed'. So gathering sharp objects from the bedroom, the three hiding there arm themselves. When Jamie looks in her room, she finds another gift on her dresser; this time it's a taser.

In the basement they find another gift; this time it's a knife.
8. Olivia makes it out of the house only to come across which of these?

Answer: A van

Jamie, DJ, and Olivia are tricked while they're in the basement. It seems apparent that they were meant to go down there. At one point, they believe the police are coming, but it turns out to be another sound box. At another point, Jamie's boyfriend, Josh, arrives at the house and neglects to pick up the gifted axe waiting out at the front gate.

It comes as little surprise when he's attacked from behind with the axe, then strangled with a garden hose and suffocated. Olivia finds a way out behind a sealed passage, crawling through a crawlspace and making it into the garden.

She ends up making it to the road (somehow helped by Matt, who didn't completely die), but a van pulls up and lets her inside. She doesn't know it's all part of the plan.
9. What is the final gift that Jamie finds in the house?

Answer: Mask

DJ and Jaime, stuck in the basement, end up separated by some unfair rigging and Jamie is nearly killed by one of the intruders who chases her through the room with a hooked weapon. Jamie manages to slow them down with the taser, but it's DJ, with the crochet needle from the bedroom, who takes down the killer.

When they remove the mask, they have no idea who's underneath it, but it's actually one of the family members from the previously-televised murder spree-- the one who made it out alive. When the siblings return to the main floor of the house, it takes little time for them to find Olivia's corpse on the dining room table....and Jamie's positive pregnancy test...and one final gift, as they see it hung up on a mantle: a mask.
10. Who is forced to take up the mantle and become a killer themselves?

Answer: Jamie

The phone rings, surprisingly, and Jamie picks it up. She and DJ discover that they're being watched by tons of viewers on the internet and Jamie is told that the only way out is for her to embrace her internal darkness and kill alongside the killers. Donning the mask, Jamie goes on the offensive, distracting the killer while her brother sprays him with gasoline, then lighting him ablaze with the lighter they received as their first gift.

They break down one of the gates as the house erupts in flame, having been sprayed with gas all over. Though they believe the cops are coming, it's actually the van that took Olivia. Both are kidnapped and separated and Jamie is told that her brother will live, but only if she follows their instructions and helps them kill the next family.

As they said-- it's 'kill or be killed'. Just so long as everybody keeps watching.
