Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. This resident of Pig Sty Alley is a master of the Hexagon Staff. He destroys four guns during the fight, to aid the other two residents and, between the three of them, they send the Axe Gang away. Who is this master?

Answer: Donut

Donut comes to aid of Coolie and Tailor during the fight with the Axe Gang. Upon seeing the Axe Gang reach into the trunk of a car, to pull out some Thompson machine guns, Donut picks up a staff and hurls it at the guns, sending them into a wall and they shatter. Donut then picks up another staff and joins the melee with Coolie and Tailor. Earlier on in the film Donut can be seen rolling dough in his shop with a huge rolling pin.
2. Sing and Bone are captives of the Axe Gang and are tied up. Brother Sum is angry with them for impersonating the Axe Gang and they are about to be executed. How do they escape?

Answer: Sing picks the locks.

Brother Sum is about to kill them when Advisor says to him "Let us deal with them". Advisor gets one of the gang members to throw an axe at Sing, who picks the lock before the axe can strike. Impressed by Sing's skills they see if he can do it again by hurling axes at Bone. Sing picks the locks holding Bone. Brother Sum asks Sing "Ever killed anyone?" Sing replies "I've always thought about it".
3. Sing and Bone, after gaining their freedom from the Axe Gang, are sitting on the pavement debating who to kill, so they can become members of the Axe Gang. During this conversation Sing tells Bone that he "knows Kung Fu", and Sing has a flashback to his youth. What does the beggar say in this flashback, that convinces Young Sing to buy the Buddhist Palm Manual?

Answer: "The duty of upholding world peace and punishing evil will be yours."

The beggar says many things to Young Sing but the only thing that convinces Young Sing is "The duty of upholding world peace and punishing evil will be yours." Young Sing spends his savings purchasing the Buddhist Palm Manual from the beggar. Bone says to Sing during this flashback "You spent your life savings". Sing in a dejected manner replies "Yes, I was saving to study to be a doctor or lawyer, but this was world peace".
4. After practicing the Buddhist Palm techniques, Young Sing confronts a gang of bullies, who are tormenting a mute young girl with a lollipop. This encounter doesn't go as planned and Young Sing is pummelled to the ground. What is the last thing the bullies do to humiliate Young Sing?

Answer: Urinate on him

While Young Sing is on the ground, the bullies find the Buddhist Palm manual and inform Young Sing that he must be loaded to buy the "20 Cent Kung Fu Manual". They throw the manual next to Young Sing's head and then urinate on him.
5. After recounting his youth to Bone, Sing says to him "I realized the good guys never win. I want to be bad". Bone, after hearing this, sees a female vendor selling food and runs after her with Sing in tow. What type of food is the vendor selling?

Answer: Ice Cream

Despite wanting to bad guys, Sing and Bone chase down the vendor who is selling ice cream. Sing asks for vanilla while Bone opts for chocolate. The vendor recognizes Sing. But before she can communicate with him they run off without paying, and are chased by the female vendor. Sing and Bone jump onto tram leaving the vendor behind.
6. Sing and Bone return to Pig Sty Alley to kill the landlady. In the "Knife Throwing scene", Sing throws a knife. Who does this knife hit?

Answer: Sing

After Sing throws the knife it rebounds of a wall and hits Sing in the left shoulder. Stunned at this bizarre turn of events, Sing goes behind a corner and gets Bone to throw the remaining knives.
7. Bone's first attempt at throwing isn't what Sing wanted. Sing tells Bone to move closer. Bone's second throw is better as it hits Landlady in the face. What object actually hits Landlady in the face?

Answer: A Handle

Bone threw the knife handle which hit landlady in the face. Not amused by this Landlady asks the gathered crowd "Who's throwing the handles?" Bemused by her question Bone turns round to Sing and asks where the knife is. He sees the knife blade in Sing's arm and pulls it out before Sing can stop him. Bone says sorry and puts the knife back in Sing's arm.
8. As Sing crawls away from Pig Sty Alley he remembers he has something else to do. The landlady spots Bone and Sing. Bone, trying to protect Sing, picks up a metal cage full of snakes. It opens up as he lifts it, dumping the snakes on the prone Sing. What does Bone suggest to stop the snakes from biting?

Answer: He should whistle.

Bone suggests to Sing "Don't panic, snakes like music. If I whistle, they won't bite". Sing doesn't want to hear Bone's bright idea but as the snakes are getting more agitated he say "Oh, what the hell". Sing starts to whistle and is bitten by two snakes on his lips.
9. While being pursued by the landlady in the foot chase, does Sing use the knives stuck in his shoulders as wing mirrors?

Answer: Yes

Sing does use knives as wing mirrors in the foot chase. As he senses the Landlady gaining up on him, he glances down to one off the knives stuck in his shoulder. He sees the landlady approaching and he speeds up. The entire foot chase scene is reminiscent of the Loony Tunes cartoons starring Roadrunner and Wile E. Coyote. Sing and the Landlady legs move in similar fashion to the Loony Tunes characters.
10. What finally ends the foot chase scene, between Landlady and Sing?

Answer: A roadside billboard

The oncoming truck does feature in the foot chase scene, but it isn't what ends it. When Sing sees the truck he goes under it and Landlady leaps and spins over the truck. While she is spinning in the air she hits a roadside billboard, stopping her momentum. This enables Sing to hobble off while the Landlady slides down the billboard, in the position she hit it, falling to the ground.
