This movie, starring Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Sammy Davis Jr. (who plays Howard), Peter Lawford, and Joey Bishop, centers on a group of men trying to rob five Las Vegas casinos in one night. They put the stolen money in garbage bins. Howard, posing as a sanitation worker, puts the bags of money in his garbage truck and simply drives through the police lines.

Perdita, or Perdy, is Pongo's mate in this animated Disney movie from 1961. When their fifteen puppies are stolen by Cruella de Vil, who wants the fur to make into coats, they set out to rescue them, as well as 84 other puppies. In the original book by Dodie Smith, Pongo's mate is named Mrs. Pongo.
3. Harakiri

In this Japanese movie from 1962, samurai Tsugumo Hanshiro, played by Tatsuya Nakadai, shows up at his lord's house asking to honorably commit suicide. The entire story of why he does this slowly comes out during the film. It partly involves displaying how dishonorable, morally bankrupt, and hypocritical these samurai are.

In the 1963 film by Federico Fellini, Guido (Marcello Mastroianni) has creative block on a film he's working on. Screen tests are done and sets have ben built, but he's lost interest in the project and can't continue working on it. Fellini named the film "8½" because he'd made six feature films, two short films, and one film collaboration with another director.
He considered the short films and collaboration to each be half a film, so this was movie number 8½.

"Topkapi" is a heist film from 1964. Elizabeth Lipp wants to steal a dagger from the Topkapi Palace in Istanbul. She gets a team together to steal it, including Simpson, played by Peter Ustinov, who won an Oscar for the role. Simpson is a conman hired to drive in the explosives needed for the job. The police in Turkey discover his cargo and decide to have him spy on Lipp.
6. A Patch of Blue

Elizabeth Hartman plays Selina, who was blinded accidentally by her abusive, racist mother. She falls in love with a black man, played by Sidney Poitier, who tries to get her away from her horrible family. This 1965 film was based on the book "Be Ready with Bells and Drums".

Tuco is "The Ugly" of the title in this 1966 Western in which three men go looking for gold during the American Civil War. Eli Wallach plays the bandit Tuco, who's probably the most moral and developed character of the three. Clint Eastwood is Blondie, "The Good", whose actions and morals are very questionable.
He and Tuco have a very uneasy relationship as they rely on each other to get to the gold--Tuco knows only the name of the cemetery where the gold is buried while Blondie knows only the name of the grave. "The Bad" is Angel Eyes (Lee Van Cleef), who kills strictly for business and won't be bought off a job.
8. Wait Until Dark
