At the very end of the television series, the 'John' part was revealed when Carrie got a call from him and her cell phone showed his name on caller ID. In the movie, his full name, John James Preston, was first said when Carrie saw their wedding announcement in the newspaper. Carrie called him John in the movie but still also called him Big when talking to her friends.

Answer: The closet

Carrie's face fell when she opened the closet door in the bedroom. It was tiny. She said that she now understood why the couple that were selling the place were breaking up. They did buy the place, though, with Big telling Carrie he could build her a better closet. Boy did he ever! When Carrie next saw it, it was enormous and very glamourous, with plenty of room for all her shoes.

Big arrived in his car at the library (where they were getting married) and was sitting outside the venue, very nervous. He'd expressed doubts to Carrie the night before and she calmed him down, but just before the wedding she of course was not right there to calm him. He saw the girls' limo pull up and desperately wanted Carrie to turn around so he could see her face; he thought he'd be alright if he could see her face. It was covered with her veil just before he could see her, and he told his driver to leave.

Inside, when Carrie realized Big was not there, she called him and he said he'd been there but left. She was devastated and the girls rushed her out of the library back into their car. Meanwhile Big was realizing he was making a huge mistake and had his driver turn around. On the way back, they passed Carrie's limo. They both stopped and got out of their cars, with Big trying to apologize and say he was ready, but Carrie didn't want to hear it. She hit him with her bouquet and cried, and then the girls got her back in the car.

Answer: She pooped her pants.

After the wedding didn't happen, Samantha was unable to get Carrie's non-refundable honeymoon refunded, so she changed the travel plans and the girls all went with Carrie to Mexico. Carrie spent much of this 'vacation' sleeping and in a depression. Her friends told her that she would feel happy again, and that when something was really, really funny - she'd laugh. Charlotte was being extremely careful about not eating any food made in Mexico, instead eating packaged pudding made in the US, and definitely not drinking the water.

While she was distracted in the shower after a workout, however, she accidentally swallowed a mouthful of water. On her way back to her friends, her stomach became very upset. She hurried but didn't make it; she pooped in her pants.

This event was what made Carrie laugh again.

Answer: Meet Me in St. Louis

After getting back from her 'honeymoon', Carrie hired Louise as a personal assistant. Louise was from St. Louis and couldn't believe that Carrie had never seen "Meet Me in St. Louis". She gave her a DVD for Christmas; Carrie got her a real designer purse.

While home in St. Louis for the holidays, Louise got back together with the love of her life and she later quit her job with Carrie to move back home and get married.

Living most of the time in California in this movie with her long term boyfriend, Smith Jerrod, Samantha found their relationship getting strained. She felt lonely and like she was losing her independence and even contemplating cheating on Smith with her hot neighbour. For Valentine's Day, she decided to make him a sushi feast - and then she got naked, laid down on the kitchen table, arranged the sushi all over herself and waited for Smith to come home.

Unfortunately, Smith didn't come home. Sam waited and waited but he ended up being very late at work and she gave up and stopped waiting for him.

Answer: Rose

She was named Rose, after Harry's grandmother, which turned out to be a happy coincidence, because then they had a Lily and a Rose. Charlotte, while hugely pregnant, ran into Big at a café late in the move. She'd previously told Carrie that she imagined what she might say to Big if she ever saw him again after he broke Carrie's heart (involving telling him that she "cursed the day [he] was born"), and when she did see him, she really went through with it.

In her fury, her water broke. Big got her to the hospital and stayed until the baby was born.

When Carrie arrived to see the baby, Big was gone but Harry told her that Big had asked them to get Carrie to talk to him, leading to the start of their reconciliation.

Answer: Brooklyn Bridge

Early on in the movie, Steve confessed to Miranda that he'd slept with someone else, one time, because he and Miranda weren't having any sex. Miranda refused his apologies and pleas for forgiveness, and they separated. Miranda moved into an apartment in the city. For a long time, she refused to talk to Steve about reconciling, but after she and Carrie had a brief falling out and Miranda begged Carrie's forgiveness, Carrie pointed it out that it wasn't fair that Miranda was so desperate for Carrie's forgiveness after only a few days, but would not even consider forgiving Steve after months. Miranda agreed to counselling, and eventually she and Steve decided that they'd meet on the Brooklyn Bridge, part way between their now-separate homes, and if they both showed up, they could get back together. Of course they did both show up and that was that.

Answer: She needed to get her shoes.

When Carrie first saw the closet Big built for her in their new apartment, she had brought a pair of gorgeous blue Manolos to put in the closet and left them there. Louise reminded her on the phone that the locks were going to changed and that she had to get over there if she wanted the brand new shoes back. Of course Carrie did.

She did find Big in the apartment, but she didn't know he'd be there. It was a good thing he was; they got back together and married in a simple ceremony, just the two of them - until he revealed that he'd called her girlfriends and invited them.

Answer: Samantha's 50th birthday

Carrie, Samantha, Charlotte and Miranda were at a night club celebrating Samantha's birthday. She admitted to turning 50 years old. The girls drank Cosmopolitans and wondered why they ever stopped drinking them. The answer was, "Because everyone else started!"
