At the very beginning of the film you see Ned and Joe sleeping, when Ned wakes up he sees a horse grazing. When he rides this horse back into the town, one of the policemen suspects him of stealing it and although Ned denies it he is sent to jail for 3 years.

2. Who plays Ned Kelly?

Answer: Heath Ledger

Heath Ledger has starred in films such as "A Knight's Tale" where he plays William Thatcher, and "10 Things I Hate About You" where he plays Patrick Verona.

3. What is the name of Ned's best friend?

Answer: Joe Byrne

Joe is part of the Kelly Gang along with Ned, Ned's brother Dan and Steve Hart.
