After graduating from Montclair State, Annie Braddock didn't know what she might like to do with her life. One day while sitting in the park, she saved a little boy from being hit by a careless scooter driver. The little boy's mother was very grateful, and offered her a nanny job.

Annie did not expect Grayer to behave the way he did. He kicked her, stuck his tongue out at her and then told her he hated her. Not a very good beginning for Annie.

In the movie, Annie referred to a guy who lived in the building as "Harvard Hottie". She figured that trying to remember everybody's name that she met would be impossible, so she gave them each a label instead. As Annie was trying to pull up her pants and get into the apartment, the elevator opened and he witnessed this embarrassing scene.

Poor Annie! Grayer needed to use the washroom and insisted on using the one in his dad's personal office. When they walked in, Mr. X was busy with another woman. Annie was mortified for both herself and Grayer. Of course Grayer was too young to understand, but she did and she didn't like Mr. X's behaviour at all.

Mrs. X told Mr. X's mother to meet them in Nantucket. His mother was sort of a crabby and impatient woman. Her character wasn't really featured to a great extent in the movie, but from what we did see, Mrs. X and his mother seemed to get along nicely. When she arrived, Mrs. X announced to everyone that she was pregnant, which she really wasn't.

Mr. X clearly made Annie feel uncomfortable. When he tried to come from behind to touch her bottom, Annie dropped the pitcher. After she noticed that Mrs. X had witnessed the suspicious scene, Annie ran out of the house crying.

Annie was hurt after the way she'd been treated, but she was mostly hurt for Grayer. He didn't have a proper role model in his life and the only reason she stuck with the job as long as she did was for him.

Annie knew there was a nanny-cam because the other nannies warned her that all of the mothers used nanny-cams. Annie felt it was time to speak her mind and to do so, she would need to find the nanny-cam and record her true feelings. She knew there had to be one in Grayer's room.

She looked through some of his stuff on the bed and on his shelf. She saw the teddy bear on his dresser, looked in one of its eyes and recognised the camera. Annie's message spoke about how special Grayer was, and how it was a mistake to miss out on getting to know your own child.

The only reason Mrs. X saw the tape was because she was in a group where mothers talked about their trials and tribulations with their nannies. Mrs. X fired Annie and she was going to show her fellow classmates how horrible Annie was to Grayer, not realizing that Annie put a message on the tape for her to see and hear.

Answer: Annie became Mrs. X's nanny again.

Mrs. X got a reality check from Annie's message. She decided to leave Mr. X and spend more quality time with Grayer. As for Annie, she continued to date Harvard Hottie, and look for a new career.
