Way before the 2009 supernatural horror film 'Paranormal Activity' and other modern films like it... there was 'The Amityville Horror'. This 1979 creeper is based on the paranormal events that allegedly took place during the time the Lutz family were living in the house. James Brolin and Margot Kidder star as George and Kathy Lutz. Ryan Reynolds and Melissa George star as the unfortunate Lutz couple in the 2005 remake, and Philip Baker Hall stars as Father Callaway.

'Toolbox Murders' is a gruesome 2004 slasher film that stars Angela Bettis as Nell Barrows. It is about a killer who murders his victims in an apartment building using different tools from a toolbox that he carries around. This film is a remake of the 1978 movie titled 'The Toolbox Murders', which also lays the gore on pretty heavy and is considered an exploitation film and cult classic.

The 2006 version of the film also goes by the title 'Black X-mas' and stars Andrea Martin as housemother Barbara MacHenry. In this remake of Bob Clark's 1974 classic, there is a difference in the plot, as well as the film's twist. In the 1974 version, Martin plays the role of sorority girl Phyllis Carlson. Olivia Hussey, Margot Kidder, and John Saxon also star. Both films take place in a huge sorority house around Christmas break.

A killer is stalking and murdering the residents one by one. Bob Clark directed and produced the 1974 original, and was also executive producer of the remake.

Both the original and the remake of this film have relatively the same plot. When the head of the family dies unexpectedly, it is up to the teenaged children to carry on the family traditions of kidnapping and eating other people. The remake stars Bill Sage, Kelly McGillis, and Michael Parks. It also stars Wyatt Hawn Russell, who is the son of Kurt Russell and Goldie Hawn.

The original 1980 version of 'The Fog' stars Adrienne Barbeau, as well as Jamie Lee Curtis and her mother Janet Leigh. John Carpenter not only directed, but is also the music composer and co-writer. The 2005 remake of the same name stars Tom Welling and Selma Blair. Carpenter and Debra Hill are producers.

In 'The Amityville Horror' she plays the role of Chelsea Lutz, and in the 2008 remake of the Pang Brothers' 2002 film 'The Eye', Chloe plays the role of Alicia. Moretz has made a great career for herself playing in various horror films, which also includes the remake of the 2008 film 'Let the Right One In' titled 'Let Me In'.

She also stars with Johnny Depp in the 2012 film 'Dark Shadows', which is based on the television soap opera of the same name that aired from 1966 through 1971.

Answer: The Blob

The original film from 1958 stars actor Steve McQueen. It is about an alien that is made of a gooey glob-like jelly substance, and it can squeeze through almost anything. It covers and swallows its victims and doing so makes it grow to great proportions. The remake came out exactly 30 years later in 1988.

Answer: A Tale of Two Sisters

The wonderfully creepy South Korean film titled 'A Tale of Two Sisters' was the highest grossing Korean horror film when it was released, and also the first to be shown in theaters in the United States. It is about two sisters who are very close. They come home after being in a mental hospital and begin seeing creepy images and apparitions, as well as having nightmares, which leads to secrets being revealed later in the film.

The remake which is titled 'The Uninvited' stars Emily Browning, Arielle Kebbel, Elizabeth Banks, and David Strathairn.

While the remake is a bit different with certain details of the film, it still delivers the chills!
