Answer: A badger

It took me years to realise Friar Tuck was a badger, because he resembles an American badger rather than the stripy-faced European one! The Sheriff of Nottingham is a wolf, Little John is a bear (and is voiced by Phil Harris, who voiced another Disney bear, Baloo in 'The Jungle Book'), and the sexton and his wife at Friar Tuck's church are mice.

Answer: Borrow a bit

"Rob?" Robin Hood exclaims. "That's a naughty word. We never rob. We just borrow a bit from those who can afford it." To which Little John replies, "Borrow? Boy, are we in debt."

Answer: In a cast on Otto's leg

Friar Tuck gives Otto some money that Robin Hood had stolen. The Sheriff hears Otto's cast jingling, and insists on taking his cast off and collecting the money, much to Friar Tuck's disgust. He also ruins Skippy's birthday party by taking his present, a farthing which the little rabbit's family had saved to give to him. Luckily, Robin comes in disguised as a beggar, and gives Skippy a bow and his hat as a present.

He also gives Skippy's mum some money.

Answer: Playing badminton

Marian and Lady Kluck, her lady-in-waiting, are playing badminton when Skippy accidentally shoots an arrow into the castle garden. Skippy and his friends sneak into the garden to get Skippy's arrow back and meet Marian and Lady Kluck. Marian sees Skippy's hat and tells him he reminds her of Robin Hood.

Answer: Sir Reginald, the Duke of Chutney

Robin dresses up as a stork, and wins an archery contest, where the prize is a golden arrow and a kiss from Maid Marian. Prince John is suspicious and exposes him. He is arrested, but Prince John pardons him after Little John pokes him in the back with a dagger.

Answer: Greece

Robin asks Marian to marry him and she says yes, though she adds that he could have chosen a more romantic setting. Robin says, "And for our honeymoon, London...Normandy...sunny Spain!" while throwing a throne at the prince's guards.

Answer: 'Old Rob will snatch his underwear'

This scene, where Robin, Marian and the outlaws dance in the woods, is one of my favourite bits in the film. Unfortunately, Prince John overhears the Sheriff of Nottingham and Sir Hyss singing it, and is furious. What follows is one of the saddest scenes in the film, as Allan-a-Dale sings 'Not in Nottingham' and the prison is full of poor citizens who can't pay their taxes.

Answer: High treason to the Crown

The Sheriff of Nottingham takes the meagre contents of the church poor box, claiming it's for tax purposes. Friar Tuck is furious and forces him out of the church. The priest and the Sheriff fight in the rain, but Friar Tuck is outnumbered and overpowered by the Sheriff and Trigger, arrested and sentenced to be hanged.

The Sheriff accuses him of high treason. However, there's another reason behind his arrest; Prince John plans to use Friar Tuck as bait to attract Robin Hood.

Answer: Nutsy, one of the guards

Robin and John capture Nutsy, and Robin steals his clothes. He does a pretty convincing impression of him as well, and convinces the Sheriff to go to sleep and let him take care of things. While the Sheriff is sleeping, Robin steals the keys to the prison and the prisoners' chains, and lets John in.

He has a narrow escape when Trigger, a crossbow-happy guard, shoots at the door, but the Sheriff thinks Trigger is just worrying about nothing. John frees Friar Tuck and the other prisoners, and Robin sneaks into the royal bedroom.

Answer: A spineless worm

John does not take his mother's castle being on fire or Robin Hood escaping well, to say the least. He thinks Robin has drowned after jumping into the moat for safety, but Robin survives by breathing through a reed.
