"Baloney" Barb told Aubrey, "Now that you've puked your way to the bottom, you might actually consider me?" Chloe, the loyal sidekick, stood by Aubrey until Beca showed she could take the team in a better direction. They were the only two from the previous year to return.

Chloe, the red-head, seemed to have a crush on Beca and actually stood up to Aubrey several times to give Beca more power to do what she wanted to do.

Kori shone in the tryouts, but wasn't there for the first practice. Aubrey said, "As you can see, Kori is not here. Last night she was Treble-boned. She has been disinvited from the Bellas."

Mary Elise was at the first practice, when Aubrey asked, "So, does anyone here have anything to confess?" Mary Elise said, "It was an accident..." and was told to turn in her scarf and go.

Trying to get out of running the bleachers, Fat Amy was laying down in the bleachers. When Aubrey caught her, Amy used the "horizontal running" excuse and moved her legs like she was running while laying down. Later, after she threw a trophy through a window and the police officer was coming, Fat Amy exclaimed, "Vertical running! I'm vertical running!"

Answer: "This makes my beer taste bad."

After that event is when Chloe told everyone that she had nodes and could not hit the high notes anymore.

Announcer Gail (co-Producer Elizabeth Banks) admitted that her group name when she competed was the Minstrel Cycles. The Sockapellas used sock puppets on stage and the Footnotes performed "Blame it on the Boogie" at the semi finals.

Answer: "Party in the USA" - Miley Cyrus

Chloe started singing the song with her headphones on and Cynthia Rose joined in. Before long, all the Bellas except Beca were singing "Party in the USA". At one point they all stopped and waited for Beca to join in. She relented and got into the song, singing and moving to the song. With her strong sense of independence, it was a turning point in the movie, when she became part of the team.

Answer: The Footnotes were disqualified.

The lead singer of the Footnotes turned out to be in high school and not in college. This was the Collegiate A Capella competition and his team was disqualified. Since the Bellas took 3rd in the semi finals, this put them in 2nd and they got to the finals at Lincoln Center.

Answer: "I have wrestled dingoes and crocodiles, simultaneously."

The dingoes and crocodiles line was spoken by Fat Amy. Lilly added a more subtle comedic touch to the movie. Her puke angel was gross, yet hilarious at the same time.

Answer: John Mayer

Bumper told the Trebels he was leaving before the finals when they were in a hot tub by saying, "John Mayer just asked me, personally, through an assistant, to sing backup on his new CD. I leave for Los Angeles in a few hours, so I gotta get going." It allowed Benji to take his place on the team and shine.

Answer: "I love you awesome nerds!"

Before the final performance, Beca told the Bellas that she loved them with the line, "I love you awesome nerds!" It showed how Beca had transformed from a loner who had no friends and did not fit in, to someone who was now part of something special. It was a very endearing moment.

Fat Amy said, "Let's crush this!"

"Hands in" was Aubrey's usual line before a performance.

Aubrey also said, "Let's just do it!" before the semi finals.
