In the quote, Gaff (Edward James Olmos) is speaking to Decker (Ford) about a replicant; a synthetic human. By design, replicants have a very short life span with a built in auto-termination. They are also not allowed on Earth with immediate termination as the punishment should they travel to Earth illegally. Decker, with Gaff's assistance and supervision had been brought in by police to hunt down and "retire" (kill) a small rogue group of replicants who had come to Earth seeking a way to extend their life span as their automatic end drew near. Along the way Decker discovered another replicant outside of that group and several complications existed in that case which lead to some soul searching and rule bending by Decker. Gaff, with this quote indicates he is both aware of this, and on board with Decker's intent to not kill this one.

Indiana Jones (Ford) had just informed Short Round (Jonathan Ke Quan, who said this quote) of his intent to sever the supports of the narrow footbridge they were standing on, which spanned a deep canyon. Their enemies, closing in on both sides, had Indy, Shorty, and Willie (Kate Capshaw) trapped in the middle of the bridge.

It was a risky, desperate move but what Indiana Jones action sequence is complete without one of those? The idea was that they would hold fast to the remaining section of bridge as it dropped to the side while their enemies would (hopefully) be caught off guard and fall to their deaths, allowing our heroes to escape.

It worked...sort of, but Willie became understandably hysterical shortly after this moment as she considered the prospect of what was coming.

If you saw the movie you remember Han Solo, borrowing the lightsaber from a barely conscious Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill) in order to cut open his fallen tauntaun (beast of burden) when stuck in the frozen wilderness. He then uttered this line after stuffing Luke into the still warm guts to keep him alive while building a shelter (the things you do for (and to) your friends!)

The ancient knight guarding the grail room (Robert Eddison) was speaking about Walter Donovan who had just suffered a gruesome death by drinking from one of the false cups after he had accepted a suggestion that it was the Holy Grail.

Jack Ryan (Ford) had just thwarted an attack by an assailant whom he deduced was sent by Sean Miller. Earlier in the movie, Miller's brother was killed by Ryan during a failed assassination attempt. Ryan said this line to the now subdued assailant after suddenly and angrily realizing the Sean Miller affair had not gone away quietly as he hoped.

This was Eli Lapp's (Jan Rubes) advice to his daughter-in-law early in the movie as she and his grandson were heading away from their home in Amish country into busy Philadelphia. Later on while in Philadelphia, her son was a witness to a murder. Police detective John Book (Ford) was assigned to the case and realized the murderer was a fellow officer. Circumstances forced Book to return with them and hide out among the Amish, where culture clashes ensued as he tried to integrate himself into a very different way of life.

The line was repeated toward the end of the movie with a slightly deeper meaning.
