Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Ford's character is killed by his estranged son, with whom he is trying to reconnect.

Answer: The Force Awakens

Released in 2015, the seventh offering of the "Star Wars" movie franchise (which is very much a re-imagining of "Episode 4") finds the rebels, now known as The New Republic, fighting The First Order (which has grown from the remains of the Empire), while trying to locate Luke Skywalker, who is in self-imposed exile.
Han Solo and Chewbacca are dragged back into things when someone steals the Falcon, notifying them of its whereabouts.
Maritally separated now, Han and Leia meet and discuss the plight of their son, Kylo Ren, who is part of The First Order. Both feel he can be saved and turned back into the light. Unfortunately it doesn't work out that way.
2. Ford plays a grumpy news anchor forced back to work by a clause in his contract.

Answer: Morning Glory

In "Morning Glory" (2010) Ford plays Mike Pomeroy, a once great news journalist who is in the position of being paid while not having to work. The new executive producer of the station's morning show chooses him as the show's co-host, finding a loophole in his contract wherein he will cease to be paid if he refuses the position. Even his grumpiness doesn't scare her away.
3. Ford's character juggles two careers, one as a police detective and the other in real estate.

Answer: Hollywood Homicide

Released in 2003, "Hollywood Homicide" sees Ford playing a homicide detective who, in an attempt to not be so constantly cash-strapped, also becomes a real estate broker. He has his hands full juggling a homicide investigation while trying to make the biggest sale of his career and an investigation by Internal Affairs, while managing a romance with a radio psychic who was once involved with the cop trying to hang him out to dry.
4. Ford's character finally marries his sweetheart and finds out he has a son with her.

Answer: Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull

Released in 2008, "Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull" sees an older, but not necessarily wiser, Professor Jones drawn back into the game when a young punk by the name of Mutt Williams approaches him about the plight of Jones' old friend, Harold Oxley who has lost his mind and been kidnapped, along with Mutt's mother.
A grand adventure ensues, with Jones winning the day, which restores Oxley to his right mind.
Jones is stunned to find that Mutt's mother, Marion Williams, is actually his old flame, Marion Ravenwood and even more shocked to learn that Mutt is actually his son. Indiana and Marion finally get married.
5. Ford plays a middle-aged pilot pursued by pirates in a tropical paradise.

Answer: Six Days Seven Nights

"Six Days Seven Nights" (1998) has Ford playing Quinn Harris, a disenchanted pilot who makes a living flying tourists around the South Pacific. Quinn is grudgingly hired by a vacationing journalist to take her to Tahiti to cover an event for work in the middle of her vacation.

The plane is hit by lightning and they are stranded on an unknown island where they see (and are seen by) modern day pirates killing some tourists and stealing their boat. Now the race to get off the island becomes one of life and death.
6. Ford's character plays a doctor on the run after being erroneously convicted of the murder of his wife.

Answer: The Fugitive

Released in 1993 and based on a television program of the same name, "The Fugitive" has Ford playing a doctor who comes home one night to find his wife dying. He fights with the one armed man who killed his wife and tries to resuscitate her. Evidence mounts against him and no one believes in the existence of a one-armed assailant, so Kimble is found guilty.
While being transferred to prison he escapes and sets off in pursuit of his wife's killer with Deputy U.S. Marshall Samuel Gerard hot on his heels.
7. Ford's character plays the President of America who has to live up to his policies when terrorists threaten him and his family.

Answer: Air Force One

"Air Force One" (1997) stars Ford as James Marshall, a young POTUS (President of the United States) who has adopted a very hard line about negotiating with terrorists. Shortly after publicly announcing this stance, his resolve is put to the test when terrorists infiltrate and take over his plane, Air Force One, with his wife and daughter also on board. With the terrorists believing that Marshall had exited the plane in an escape pod, he is able to give them back a little of their own.
8. Ford stars as a prosecuting attorney who is framed and tried for the murder of his former mistress.

Answer: Presumed Innocent

In "Presumed Innocent" (1990) the District Attorney insists that Ford's character, Rusty Sabich, take the lead in the investigation of the murder of one of their colleagues, unaware that Rusty had had an affair with her.
Evidence mounts and pretty soon everyone, including his boss, thinks Rusty is guilty of murder, so Rusty hires the best defense lawyer he knows to defend him.
9. Ford plays a man who sets himself up for retribution when he stops a terrorist attack on an English royal.

Answer: Patriot Games

In "Patriot Games" (1992) Ford plays retired CIA Analyst, Jack Ryan, in London with his family. He recognises the signs of an upcoming terrorist attack in time to foil the attempt, killing one of the attackers in the process. The brother of the man Ryan killed, Sean Miller, is sent to prison for his role in the attack but is broken out by his mates, a ultra-violent splinter group of the IRA. Once out Miller can think of nothing but killing the man who killed his brother.
10. Ford's character is a tough, Philadelphia Police Detective who hides out in an Amish community.

Answer: Witness

In "Witness" (1985) a recently widowed Amish woman leaves the community to visit relatives. While waiting for their connecting train, her son witnesses a brutal murder in the washroom of the train station. While investigating the murder, Ford's character, John Book, finds that it was committed by another police officer.

He reports this to his superior, who is also dirty and Book is later shot while protecting the boy. He is nursed back to health in the Amish community, while being sought after by members of his own force.
