Barry is far from the most informative of tour guides! When both his tour and the school are suggested by the tour group as being "the worst ever", and it is questioned as to whether "anything cool happens here", Barry redeems both himself and the school by telling the group that "this is the setting for the greatest story ever told", which leads us into the movie proper, and Barry's retelling of "Road Trip"!

Answer: Snake

Barry and Rubin walk in to Josh and Rubin's dorm room whilst Josh is finishing off his latest video tape to his girlfriend, Tiffany. Rubin checks the temperature inside his snake's cage, and Barry asks if he feeds the snake, to which Rubin replies, "Sorry, Mitch only eats once a week on Saturdays." Barry gets his chance to feed Mitch later on in the movie, however, whilst Rubin is on the road trip with the other guys, but, as befits Barry's character, the feeding doesn't exactly go as planned!

Answer: E.L.'s

As Josh arrives at E.L.'s party, E.L. advises Josh, "We've got chicks for sale." As the auction begins, E.L. advises the crowd, "Remember, you are not buying the girl... you are buying her company, and no way does a sale constitute sexual relations." When it is Beth's turn, it is clear that teaching assistant Jacob (who is clearly obsessed with her) plans to win the Beth auction. Beth has already asked Josh if he could therefore outbid Jacob, to which Josh replies, "I didn't bring that much money with me." Despite this, he bids as much as he has in his wallet - $26 - and when Jacob bids $30, E.L. pretends not to hear, thereby awarding Beth to Josh, much to Jacob's annoyance.

Answer: "What do you look for in a girl?"

The pair have already started to get amorous, and this 'role play' helps takes their relationship to the next level. Josh answers the question by saying that, amongst other things, she should be "smart, funny, attractive, and nice".

Answer: Sad hippopotamus

We cut from Josh and Beth getting amorous to Rubin, E.L. and Barry in Josh and Rubin's dorm room the next morning, where we see Barry playing his guitar, and singing his somewhat quirky "Tiny Salmon Song". Josh comes into the room having had a shower, clearly in a good mood following the previous night's events.

However his mood quickly changes when he realises the "Beth tape" has accidentally been mailed to Tiffany.

Answer: Her grandfather

Tiffany said that she had tried calling Josh a few times but no-one picked up. She didn't want to leave a voicemail, but she thought Josh might be getting a little worried as the two hadn't spoken for a few days. She says, "If I don't speak with you, I'll call you Monday when I'm back at school." This provides Josh with the knowledge that he has three days to get to Tiffany's college to recover the incriminating video tape before she gets there, thus beginning the road trip!

Answer: Kyle's

The inference is that none of Josh, Rubin, or E.L. have a car at school, as Josh knocks on the dorm room door of the clearly not-cool Kyle to ask if they can use his car to drive to Tiffany's college in Austin, Texas to recover the video tape before she returns to college. The timid and anxious Kyle is eventually won round when Josh suggests that Kyle joins them on their adventure!

Answer: Boston

A littler earlier in the movie, as Josh, E.L., Rubin and Kyle are getting ready to leave on their road trip, we see Rubin ask Barry, "Aren't you even curious where we're going?", to which Barry simply replies, "No." Regardless, Rubin advises him that they're "going to the University of Austin" and checks that Barry's sure that he doesn't want to come with them, to which Barry replies, "I've never really liked Massachusetts." Rubin corrects him, advising, "Austin's in Texas, not Massachusetts. I think you're thinking of Boston." Unfortunately this information clearly doesn't stick, so when Beth asks Barry where Josh has gone, Barry incorrectly tells her he has gone to Boston, Massachusetts, thus sending Beth on a futile (but eventful) wild goose chase!

Answer: A Target store

Not long into their road trip, the boys stop at a Target store to stock up on some essential (and some not so essential - e.g. E.L.'s sunglasses!) supplies. Poor old Kyle is on the hook again, as E.L. advises him, "We're a little short on cash right now, so we're going to need to put this on your credit card."

Answer: A school bus

The ever-charming E.L. manages to convince the receptionist at a local school for the blind that the "rotator splint" on one of the school's buses has a problem, and that he can have the bus "back good as new in less than a week". As he turns up at the diner in the bus, Josh says, "I don't even want to know how you got this," to which E.L. not very subtly replies, "I stole it from a blind chick!"
