Riff is playing "Sheena Is a Punk Rocker," the Ramones' biggest hit (it peaked at #81 on the charts), to the school. All the students are dancing merrily when the principal interferes and gets Riff and her friend Kate into trouble.

Principal Togar is the evil female principal who hates rock and roll and confiscates Ramones tickets. She is the "bad guy" in the movie, the enemy. She wants school to be boring, and has done experiments on mice to prove that the loud noise levels of rock & roll are not healthy.

Riff is in love with the singer, Joey Ramone, not a man who is conventionally handsome - to say the least - but that's part of the fun!

Riff camps out in front of the ticket office for three days in order to buy tickets to the Ramones' concert, she is so devoted to the band and Joey.

Kate is a good student but is willing to have fun. Riff drags her around everywhere with her. Kate is smart and is the one who eventually blows up the school. She is a "good girl" but can be daring.

Tom is in love with Riff for most of the movie, however. Tom and Kate are set up, and given questionable sexual education, and although Kate is willing, Tom wants Riff. Near the end of the movie, Tom realizes that Kate actually is in love with him, not just looking for experience, and they become friends and eventually date.

Riff and Kate run to the nearest phone booth - knocking a man out of it in the process - and submit their answer. They not only get tickets to the concert but also backstage passes!

"Questioningly" is on "Road to Ruin", as Kate finds out by looking at the tape box. Incidentally, "Locket Love" is on "Rocket to Russia", "Don't Come Close" is on "Road to Ruin", and "Blitzkrieg Bop" is on "Ramones".

Answer: I Wanna Be Sedated

The Ramones played "I Wanna Be Sedated" in many takes but eventually it was cut out of the movie. They didn't want to play "She's the One" but it was essential to the plot. Other songs they performed for the concert were "Blitzkrieg Bop" and "Pinhead".

"Pizza! Let's dig in!" says Dee Dee after they drag Joey in, exhausted from the performance. A radiant Riff gives the Ramones her songs including "Rock & Roll High School", and tells them that this is the best day of her life.

Well, Riff gets to meet Joey and becomes an honorary Ramone for her songs, including the title track "Rock & Roll High School". One of the teachers is converted, and the kids dance, but the school blowing up is the only really big thing that happens in this movie - and honestly - how else could it end?

Principal Togar and the police are aghast, but the students are delighted, as Kate's chemistry knowledge gets Vince Lombardi High to explode, illuminating the sky as the Ramones play "Rock & Roll High School" in the foreground.
