Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Aunt Marge related Harry's mother to one of the following, prompting Harry to semi-accidentally blow her up, which one was it?

Answer: A Female Dog

Aunt Marge was played by Pam Ferris. In this scene of the movie, Aunt Marge related Harry (Daniel Radcliffe) and his mother to dogs, saying if something was wrong with the dog's mother you see it in the dog itself, implying that Harry's mother had something wrong with her, which was why he was such a "troublemaker."
2. Which of the following did the Knight Bus hit when it reached The Leaky Cauldron?

Answer: A Car

In the movie the Knight Bus hit a car, which prompted the car's alarm to go off. This has already bothered many fans, because in the original version of the story, everything jumped out of the way of the Bus, it was impossible for it to hit anything.
3. Is Harry actually seen in Diagon Alley in the movie?

Answer: No

Another difference from the book, Harry reached The Leaky Cauldron much closer to the time he had to go back to Hogwarts in the film. He never had a chance to go to Diagon Alley, it's the first of the three movies not to have a scene in the popular wizarding area.
4. Which of the following people was not in the train compartment with Harry when the dementors arrived?

Answer: Ginny

After Harry passed out from the arrival of the dementors, Professor Lupin, played by David Thewlis, provided him with chocolate to make him feel better.
5. Who is the actor that plays the new Care of Magical Creatures professor?

Answer: Robbie Coltrane

Robbie Coltrane portrays Rubeus Hagrid, a popular character who was present in the first two movies as well. Hagrid was appointed to the position when Professor Kettleburn resigned.
6. Which of the following does the boggart not turn into during the first Defense Against the Dark Arts lesson?

Answer: A Banshee

This is another scene that fans are angry with. The boggart turns into a dementor when Harry gets to it, but then Professor Lupin goes and it quickly changes into the moon. In the next scene, Lupin is shown apologizing to Harry about why he didn't let him take on the boggart, thinking it would turn into Voldemort.

However, this would not have been an issue as it had already been turned into a dementor. The boggart turned into Professor Snape for Neville, a dementor for Harry, the moon for Lupin, and a spider for Ron.
7. In the book, when Harry (in his Invisibility Cloak) attacks Draco Malfoy and his friends near the Shrieking Shack, Harry's face appears. Does it in the movie?

Answer: No

In the movie Harry is not revealed to Draco (Tom Felton) and friends, but he does have some close calls at other times during the Hogsmeade scenes.
8. What man is actually guilty of the crime that Sirius Black is accused of?

Answer: Peter

Peter Pettigrew (Timothy Spall) betrayed Harry's parents, and revealed their whereabouts to Lord Voldemort, ultimately getting them killed. He also killed muggles while faking his own death. Sirius Black (Gary Oldman) was wrongfully convicted of those crimes and sent to Azkaban, until he escaped during Harry's third year at Hogwarts.
9. Does Harry get his Marauder's Map back from Professor Lupin?

Answer: Yes

Just like in the book, Professor Lupin allowed Harry to have the Marauder's Map back, since he was no longer his teacher and didn't feel guilty about giving it back to Harry.
10. The Friday of its release in the United States of America, "Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban" earned the most money on a single day than any other movie up to that point.

Answer: False

The film grossed over $38 million on its opening day in the United States, but was not enough to conquer "Spider-Man". Original reports stated that the movie made over $40 million and WAS in the lead. However, it did break the record in the United Kingdom.
