Sirius Black has escaped from Azkaban and Voldemort is Harry's enemy. Crookshanks is always chasing Scabbers around. Scabbers is a rat which turns out to be Peter Pettigrew.

The Shrieking Shack and Honeydukes are in Hogsmeade. Honeydukes is a sweets shop that is visited by many students from Hogwarts. The first time Harry and Sirius Black come face to face is in the Shrieking Shack, which is reached from the tunnel that starts at the Whomping Willow. The Whomping Willow is the tree that attacks Harry and Ron in "Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets".

This notice is in the "Daily Prophet" which is a popular wizard paper. In the "Daily Prohpet" it also mentions that he was sighted in Dufftown, which is not far from Hogwarts.

This is the only Quidditch match shown in this movie. Harry falls off his broom because of the Dementors. As Harry has fallen of his broom, Gryffindor has no seeker, therefore the Hufflepuff seeker catches the Snitch to win the game.

Sirius Black is an Animagus in the movie. An Animagus is a person who shape shifts into an animal voluntarily. Professor McGonagall can shape shift into a cat while Peter Pettigrew can shape shift into a rat.

This happens when Harry, Ron and Hermione are on their way down to Hagrid's hut. Draco and his friends are laughing because Buckbeak is about to get executed. Hermione pulls out her wand, ready to cast a spell, but instead she punches his nose.

The Marauder's Map is a map that shows the entire Hogwarts' castle, except for the Room of Requirement. It shows where everyone is in the castle. The makers of the map are Moony, Padfoot, Wormtail and Prongs. Moony is Professor Remus Lupin, Padfoot is Harry's godfather Sirius Black, Wormtail is Peter Pettigrew while Prongs was James Potter.
