Sparks fly between them, both politically and romantically, as Katie pursues political aspirations of her own which threaten his position.

A country girl (Carla Gugino) going to college in L.A. asks a friend (Pauly Shore) to travel home for Thanksgiving with her and pose as her fiance in order to thwart the proposal of a hometown boy. The two find that they are actually attracted to each other and that sometimes two worlds colliding can be an eye-opening experience.
