Lloyd Dobler played by John Cusack makes love to Ione Skye's Diane Court while this song is playing on the car radio. I'm sure you remember Cusack holding an enormous beat box under Diane's window hoping to get her back. Classic!

This is the last line of script in the "Breakfast Club". At first, it is Anthony Michael Hall's character who says this quote but later on, every actor completes it by stating their role. For many the 1985 movie is the ultimate high school film. It is ironic that such an iconic picture was written in only two days.

Stifler is really the odd tag along. The quartet of friends who enter the pact are Jim, who sleeps with Michelle, Oz, who sleeps with Heather, Kevin who sleeps with Vicky and last but certainly not least, Finch who makes love to the infamous Stifler's mom! "American Pie" makes no excuse for its explicit content but made an incredible amount of money for an R rated comedy.

Sean Penn's Spicolli is probably one of the most colorful characters in all the 80s teen flicks. The actor took his role really seriously. In fact, he labeled his dressing room door with the name of his character. Because his character has trouble with his teacher, Penn also went out of his way to annoy Ray Walston who plays Spicolli's teacher.

"Clueless" is inspired by Emma, a book from Austen about a girl (Cher in the movie) trying to find proper suitors for a friend of hers (Britanny Murphy's character in the film). I doubt the famous British novelist included expressions such as "whatever" in her book.

The movie was so popular that there was a spinoff TV show with almost the same cast except for some notable exceptions. The main character Cher wasn't interpreted by Alicia Silverstone but by Rachel Blanchard.

Answer: Pretty In Pink

Hall plays the reject in three John Hughes' films. It is rumored that Hall refused the role of Duckie in Hughes's 1986 "Pretty In Pink" because he feared being typecast (he also refused to play Cameron, the wing man in "Ferris Bueller's Day Off"). The movie, a story about a poor girl falling in love with a wealthy boy, went on to be a success with Jon Cryer as Duckie. I hope you all remember the scene when he lip-synchs in the music store! Priceless!

Who would have guested that a story about an unconventional (to say the least) teen raising lamas would become the underground and cult hit that "Napoleon Dynamite" is. It is probably due to the panel of Idaho characters including the timid but overachieving Pedro, running for school president.

The movie went on to gross over 40 million dollars. If actor Jon Heder - playing the title role - had known, he would have probably asked for more than a thousand US dollars!

The Michael Lehmann film stars Winona Ryder and Christian Slater. Daniel Waters has definitely cooked up an unconventional teen film script. Waters presents us with a popular clique formed of Heathers (literally girls named Heather) and a social climber, Veronica who wishes their deaths but has to deal with them if she wants to be more popular. Be careful what you wish for when Christian Slater's JD is around because you might just get it.

Answer: Can't Hardly Wait

These are all characters from "Can't Hardly Wait". The movie shows a group of teenagers at a party right after graduation. Plenty of actors have cameos in the movie including Breckin Meyer and Donald Faison, both from "Cluless" and although uncredited Melissa Joan Hart, Jerry O'Connell and Jenny Elfman are also in the '98 movie. It is to me one of the funniest teen movies from the 1990s.

Answer: Twist And Shout

Hughes' movie is about a slick, funny and outgoing teen who plans the greatest day of playing hooky. Instead of lying low, Bueller seems to go out of his way to get caught. He never does because he is Ferris Bueller and no one can outsmart him. Even when he lip-synchs "Twist and Shout" on a national parade while doing Michael Jackson's "Thriller"'s video choreography, Ferris manages to escape. Ed Rooney the school principal isn't able to prove he in fact missed school for "unfounded" reasons.
