Bartholomew is a mouse and is voiced by Barrie Ingham, who also did the voice of Basil. Bartholomew is eaten by Felicia the cat because he accidently calls Rattigan a rat.

Bill the Lizard is also called "the Lizard with the Ladder" in "Alice in Wonderland", but is never directly reffered to by name in "The Great Mouse Detective".
