Michael watched the two of them ascend the stairs. He then went to the front of the house and saw Judith's bedroom lights go out.

A short time later, the boyfriend went home. Michael went up the stairs with a large kitchen knife to Judith's bedroom.

Michael approached Judith, who was still not fully dressed. Judith yelled at Michael to leave her room. Michael than stabbed his sister repeatedly with the knife from the kitchen until she died.

Dr. Loomis and Nurse Marion were driving to Illinois State Hospital in Smith's Grove, Illinois. They were talking about the precautions they needed to take when transporting Michael. They were taking Michael to a hearing in the morning to see a judge.

As Marion drove to the institution, she noticed that the patients were walking around in the rain. Dr. Loomis seemed to realize quickly that Michael was free. Dr. Loomis got out of the car to use the phone at the hospital's gate. Michael climbed on the roof of the car from behind. Marion rolled down the driver's side window to investigate the noise. Michael grabbed at Marion's face and hair and tried to pull her out of the car. Marion got away from Michael and laid against the passenger's side window. Michael brought his hand down and smashed the window with his open-palmed hand. Marion quickly fled the vehicle from the driver's side. Michael jumped into the car and pulled away.

Laurie had just left her house when her dad came out the door. He reminded his daughter to leave the key to the Myers's house under the mat. She reassured her father she would not forget. He told her he had an appointment to show the house at ten thirty.

Her dad got into his car, which had a sticker reading Strode Realty on the side of the car. As Laurie was walking towards the Myers house, she ran into Tommy Doyle. Tommy was the boy she would be babysitting that night. Tommy asked Laurie why she was walking this way to school.

She told him her father wanted her to drop off the keys to a house. When Tommy found out it was the Myers's house he became afraid. Tommy told Laurie that bad things happened there and she wasn't supposed to go near the house. Laurie dropped off the key and unbeknownst to her Michael was in the house.

As Laurie walked away, we saw Michael looking at her from behind.

Lonnie, Richie, and Keith were trying to scare Tommy by telling him the bogey man was coming. As the boys surrounded Tommy, one of them tripped him. Tommy fell down,he landed on the big pumpkin he was carrying. The pumpkin was smashed when Tommy landed on it.

The boys ran off in different directions, but Michael grabbed one of them. Michael had watched the entire scene go down; he let Lonnie go and he ran off. Michael then followed a heartbroken Tommy for a moment or two, then drove off.

Dr. Loomis had just hung up from a phone call he made to the Haddonfield police. He was trying to warn them that Michael was coming there. Loomis saw a truck and went to investigate it. The truck was red and the driver's door was open. It had the name of Phelps Garage on the door. Loomis found the discarded hospital gown Michael was wearing. Dr. Loomis quickly ran off; he was now certain Michael was headed home to Haddonfield. Dr. Loomis did not see the lifeless body of the nude man laying in the grass.

Laurie and Lynda were walking home from school. The two were talking about all the things Lynda had to do before the dance. Annie came running up behind them; she asked them why they left her. Lynda said they waited for fifteen minutes and Annie totally never showed. Annie was not smiling so Laurie asked her what was wrong. Annie told the girls that her boyfriend, Paul, was grounded. He had got caught egging people's houses as a Halloween prank. Later on that night, Paul called Annie and told her to come get him.

We never did see Paul, as Annie was murdered by Michael before she could pick him up. John Carpenter played the voice of Paul because the film had a tight budget. John used a lot of people in roles other than what they were hired to do. Debra Hill, the other writer on the film, was used as Michael Myers. It was her hands you saw when the young Michael picked up the knife. John also wrote the score for the film as well as directing it.

Lynda had just gotten to her house. Laurie and Annie who were walking with her said bye to Lynda. The two continued to walk home together. Annie was looking through her purse for something. As Annie continued searching her purse, Laurie saw Michael.

He was a few feet away from them. Michael was half hidden by a bush. Annie was still searching her purse when Laurie told Annie to look. She told Annie it was the guy she had yelled at earlier. Annie walked up to the hedge, but Michael was gone.

In the background of her room, we saw the Raggedy Ann doll sitting on her dresser. The phone rang and Laurie quickly hung it up. She believed it was an obscene call because she thought she heard moaning in the background. The caller called back and Laurie discovered it was Annie the first time.

Annie and Laurie were driving to their babysitting jobs. Annie saw her dad across the street. Annie's dad was the sheriff of the town they lived in. The girls were smoking so Annie told Laurie to get rid of it. Annie pulled the car up to where her dad was.

The alarm from the store was going off so it was hard for Annie or her dad to hear. Annie asked her dad what happened and he told her he thought some kids had broken in. He told her they had stolen a few things including some masks.
