This scene continues the Tarantino tradition of source music. In "Reservoir Dogs", it was "Stuck in the Middle with You" as Blonde tortured Marvin. In "Jackie Brown", it was "Didn't I (Blow Your Mind This Time)" in Jackie's apartment. And in "Kill Bill", the 5.6.7.8's provided the source cue.

This song was also played in the main titles, where the song abruptly changed due to a character listening to the radio. As this scene reveals, Jules and Vincent were the listeners. (Could they have been listening to K-BILLY? We'll never know...)

Jules explained a pilot to Vincent this way: "Well, the way they pick the shows on TV is, they make one show and that show's called a pilot. And they show that one show to the people who pick the shows, and on the strength of that one show, they decide if they want to make more shows.

Some get accepted and become TV programs, and some don't, and become nothing. She starred in one of the ones that became nothing."

Among other things, Antwan Rockamora (or Tony Rocky Horror) developed a speech impediment from the fall through a greenhouse. Tony was pushed out of a window and through a greenhouse (ouch, all at once) for giving Mia Wallace a foot massage. Later in the film, Mia claims to know nothing about any massage.

In the screenplay, this scene runs a full three pages, following our "heroes" from the exit on the elevator to Jules's line, "Let's get into character."

As revealed in Tarantino's highly imaginative screenplay, and on the DVD, it is Roger. Brett is the man in the chair, while Marvin is the black inside man hiding in the corner. The man in the bathroom is never named, only known as the Fourth Man.

Jules remarked (in one of the most quotable scenes in the movie), "Mind if I have some of yo tasty beverage to wash this down?" (He was commenting on the tasty Big Kahuna Burger.)

The combination (666, which is repeated twice) is also the sign of the devil, which has led some to believe that the suitcase contains Marsellus Wallace's soul.

Vincent and Jules exterminate Brett from this world in a hail of gunfire - a lasting impression that stays with the viewer until we revisit the scene at the end of the film. Just a side note: Jules's Ezekiel speech is inspired by Sonny Chiba's samurai films, in which Chiba would lecture his victim on morality before killing him.
