The film was directed by one of John's heroes Herschell Gordon Lewis, and was the sequel to "Blood Feast", also known as the first gore movie. The film revolved around murders of various young women in preperation for a ritual feast for a long-dormant Egyptian goddess.

Baltimore has been Waters' home town for most of his life. It has been the inspiration and location for most - if not all - of his films.

This film is so disgusting that in some theatre audiences were handed Pink Phlegm-ingo Barf Bags in case they threw up. To John, if you throw up while watching one of his movies it's like giving him a standing ovation.
