Answer: The Departed

"The Departed" is a 2006 crime film starring Mark Wahlberg as Sean Dignam who works for the Boston Police. The film's main star is Leonardo di Caprio who plays Billy Costigan, an undercover officer who infiltrates Boston's Irish Mob led by Frank Costello (Jack Nicholson). Meanwhile, Costello has Colin Sullivan (Matt Damon) infiltrate the Boston Police and Sullivan is assigned to the department that investigates the mob.

The film is loosely based on the lives of gangster Whitey Bulger and FBI agent John Connolly, an associate of Bulger's who helped him evade justice for years.

"Invincible" is a 2006 biographical film starring Mark Wahlberg as Vince Papale, a substitute teacher turned Philadelphia Eagle. Vince was laid off from his job and tried out, on a whim, for the Philadelphia Eagles, the local professional football team.

The Eagles were experiencing a series of losses and the new coach Dirk Vermeil (Greg Kinnear) decided to look for new players. Vermeil reluctantly signs Vince whose poor performance in his first game puts Vermeil in a difficult position.

"Deepwater Horizon" is a 2016 film based on the true life BP Oil Spill in the Gulf of Mexico in 2010. Mark Wahlberg plays Mike Williams, an oil rig technician. Kurt Russell plays Jimmy Harrell, another technician. Both men are aware the oil rig (called Deepwater Horizon) has not undergone the necessary tests but are ordered to begin drilling by Donald Vidrine (John Malkovich), a manager for BP. One day, a series of disasters occur on the rig and it explodes, killing several crew members and leaking oil uncontrollably into the Gulf of Mexico.
6. Micky Ward, amateur boxer

"The Fighter" is a 2010 film based on a true story starring Mark Wahlberg as Micky Ward, an aspiring boxer. Christian Bale plays Dicky Ecklund, Micky's half-brother and trainer. Melissa Leo plays Micky's mother and manager Alice. Initially, Micky is not a success and several amateur boxers manage to defeat him and move on in their careers. Dicky is a former cocaine addict and is sent to jail when one of his money-making schemes failed. From prison, Dicky continues to train Micky whose heart is no longer in the sport.

However, Micky continues to box and eventually wins a match using the skills Dicky taught him. Micky continues to box and eventually wins his way to the welterweight championship match.

"Pain & Gain" is a 2013 film starring Mark Wahlberg as Daniel Lugo and Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson as Paul Doyle. Daniel was once in prison for fraud and upon his release manages a gym. Daniel befriends a bodybuilder named Adrian (Anthony Mackie) and the two decide to kidnap a wealth client named Victor Kershaw (Tony Shalhoub) to extort money from him.

They enlist the help of an ex-con named Paul Doyle. They are able to get money from Kershaw but he recognizes them. Paul and Daniel continue their scheme, extorting money from person after person until fate catches up with them.
10. David McCall, a terrible boyfriend

Answer: Fear

"Fear" is a 1996 thriller starring Mark Wahlberg as David McCall and Reese Witherspoon as Nicole. Nicole is 16 years old but begins a relationship with the older David. Nicole comes from the stereotypical perfect family who likes David. David meanwhile is not the perfect boyfriend.

He becomes possessive of Nicole and jealous whenever another man goes near her. Nicole breaks up with David after witnessing his violent behavior but they soon reconcile. But David's behavior does not change and when Nicole breaks up with him again, David does not take no for an answer.
