Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. I spoke with Pumpkin at a diner about robbing banks. Who played me?

Answer: Amanda Plummer

Plummer was cast as Honey Bunny. Honey was seen talking to Pumpkin in the film's opening scene regarding robbing banks. The conversation soon turned into Pumpkin asking Honey Bunny if she recalled the last time they stuck up a liquor store and she told him she remembered it. Pumpkin stated he remembered Honey Bunny coming up with the idea of stealing the customers' wallets.

She thanked him after he stated that he felt it was a good idea. When Pumpkin informed her they made more money stealing from the wallets than they did the registers, she agreed. Honey Bunny and Pumpkin then decided right on the spot to rob the people in the diner where they were. Honey Bunny robbed the patrons while Pumpkin took care of the employees. Plummer guest starred on the TV series "Battlestar Galactica", "Law and Order: Special Victims Unit" and "The Outer Limits".
2. I told Jules that hash was legal in Amsterdam, but not 100% legal. Who played me?

Answer: John Travolta

Travolta, born on February 18th, 1954 in Englewood, New Jersey, played Vincent Vega. Vincent was first seen riding in Jules Winnefield's car and Jules asked him if hash was legal in Amsterdam. Vincent responded by answering that it was, but not exactly 100% legal.

He informed Jules that one person may not simply walk into a restaurant, roll a joint and then start to smoke. He explained to Jules they wanted people to smoke hash in their homes or in places designated as okay to smoke them. He furthered his point by stating it was legal to buy and own hash while also legal to sell it if you owned a hash bar. Vincent also told Jules that if a person got stopped by an officer in Amsterdam, they could not legally search the person for hash. Jules laughed and said that he would be traveling to Amsterdam soon due to their lax laws on hash. Travolta starred in the movies "Look Who's Talking", "Ladder 49" and "Domestic Disturbance".

In 1995, he received an Academy Award nomination for Best Actor in a Leading Role for "Pulp Fiction" but lost to Tom Hanks for "Forrest Gump".

Other Oscar nominees for Best Actor in a Leading Role that year were Morgan Freeman for "The Shawshank Redemption", Nigel Hawthorne for "The Madness of Kind George" and Paul Newman for "Nobody's Fool".
3. I listened to Vincent tell me how different Europe was. Who played me?

Answer: Samuel L. Jackson

Jackson, a native of Washington, D.C., portrayed Jules Winnefield. Jules heard Vincent say that Europe was different even though they had primarily the same stuff in America as they did in Europe. Jules then asked Vincent to provide him an example as to how different Europe was when compared to America. Vincent informed Jules that you could purchase a glass of beer in a movie theater in Amsterdam but that was not possible in an American cineplex.

He gave Jules another example by stating you could purchase beer at McDonald's in Paris. Jules laughed when Vince said the Parisians call a Quarter Pounder with Cheese a "Royale with Cheese" so he asked Vince what they called a Big Mac. Vincent responded to Jules they called it a "Le Big Mac".

A little bit later, Jules spoke to Vincent about Marsellus Wallace's wife, Mia, and how she was an actress. Vincent asked Jules if he would recognize her but Jules said the biggest thing she had done was starring in a television pilot. Vincent was befuddled as to what a pilot was, so Jules explained to him it had to do with people making one television episode for other people to decide if it should become a series. Jackson was seen in the films "Coach Carter", "Losing Isaiah" and "Do the Right Thing".

In 1995, he received an Academy Award nomination for Best Supporting Actor for "Pulp Fiction" but lost to Martin Landau for "Ed Wood". Other Oscar nominees for Best Supporting Actor that year were Chazz Palminteri for "Bullets Over Broadway", Paul Scofield for "Quiz Show" and Gary Sinise for "Forrest Gump".

Marsellus was seen near the beginning of the movie talking to Butch Coolidge about how he had ability, but that ability did not last. Marsellus informed Butch that his days of being a boxer were just about done and it was a fact of his life he had to soon accept. Marsellus then told Butch that the mafia business was filled with people who thought they would age like wine.

After Marsellus got done talking to Butch, he showed him an envelope full of money and Butch took the money. Marsellus then gave Butch a piece of advice which had to do with boxing, as Butch was a boxer.

He told him that anytime he felt a sting during fighting, it meant that pride was messing with him and to know that pride only hurt but never helped. Rhames guest starred on the TV shows "The District", "New York Undercover" and "Miami Vice".

Vincent told him that some woman over at his place had overdosed so Lance told him to not bring her to his home. Lance advised Vincent to take the woman to the hospital and then contact a lawyer. Vincent said that was not an option so Lance simply informed him this was his problem and he had to deal with it.

There was a subsequent scene where Mia Wallace overdosed, so Vincent, Lance and Jody tried to help her out as best as they could. Lance looked for something and Jody asked Vincent what he was looking for so Vincent told her it was some medical book. Jody then told Lance that she never saw a medical book in their home but Lance said he had seen it once. Jody yelled at Lance that it was very possible that Mia would die while he looked for the medical book and he would be better off simply trying to help her out without looking for the book. Lance yelled back at Jody to shut up since she was annoying him. Arquette was seen in the films "Welcome to California", "The Whole Nine Yards" and "Interview with a Dead Man".
8. I first spoke to Vincent on an intercom. Who played me?

Answer: Uma Thurman

Thurman, born in 1970 in Boston, Massachusetts, landed the role of Mia Wallace. Vincent went to see Mia at her home and he noticed a note on her door telling him to come on in and fix himself a drink. When Vincent entered the home, Mia spoke to him through her intercom so he asked her where the intercom was and Mia told him.

When Vincent found the intercom, she told him to talk to her by pushing the button on it. Mia told Vincent she would be down shortly to talk to him. Mia then came down and the two of them went out to have dinner at a restaurant called Jack Rabbit's Slims.

When they sat down, Mia asked Vincent what he thought of the place and he said it seemed like a wax museum but with a pulse. A waiter soon came by to take their order so Vincent said he wanted a steak while Mia ordered a burger. Thurman starred in the movies "Batman and Robin", "Gattaca" and "Mad Dog and Glory".

In 1995, she received an Academy Award nomination for Best Supporting Actress for "Pulp Fiction" but lost to Dianne Wiest for "Bullets Over Broadway".

Answer: Bruce Willis

Afterwards, Butch asked him if he was all right but Marsellus stated he was far from okay. Marsellus told Butch that he was upset with him and that he wanted nothing more to do with him. Marsellus then made up with Butch after he promised Marsellus he would not tell anyone about the incident with the rapists.

In another scene, Vincent saw Butch at a bar and Butch called him "friend" but Vincent said he was not his friend. Willis portrayed characters in the films "Die Hard With a Vengeance", "The Sixth Sense" and "The Fifth Element".

Marvin simply stated that he did not have an opinion on the matter, when Vincent turned around and shot him. Jules yelled at Vincent for shooting Marvin but Vincent insisted it was a simple accident since the gun went off. Vincent and Jules disposed of Marvin's body and then cleaned out all the blood in the car. LaMarr had guest starring stints on the TV shows "NYPD Blue", "Mad About You" and "L.A. Law".
