Booth was cast in the role of Mr. Becker, the father of Casey Becker. When Casey ran from the killer in the opening scene, she saw her father and mother driving up the road. When they pulled into the driveway, Casey attempted to get to her parents but the killer stabbed her. Before she called for her father and mother for help, they entered the house.

It was here that Mr. Becker saw the patio door smashed. When they called the police, they heard Casey on the phone and then it hung up. Mr. Becker told his wife to go down to the McKenzie's house. Booth had guest spots on the TV series', "The Practice", "Midnight Caller" and "Hidden Hills".

Answer: Carla Hartley

Hartley was cast in the short role of Mrs. Becker, Casey Becker's mother. Right after she and Mr. Becker got out of their car, they entered their home to find that it was ransacked. The smoke alarm went off and Mrs. Becker ran into the kitchen since she noticed the popcorn there had caught fire. Mrs. Becker shouted for Casey but there was no answer.

When she picked up the phone to dial 911, she heard Casey. After she stepped outside the house to go down the street to get help, she screamed at the top of her lungs after she saw her daughter hung from a tree limb. Hartley's only acting credit was in this first installment of the "Scream" trilogy.

Brown, born in 1963 in Kentucky, took on the role of Kenny Jones, the cameraman for Gale Weathers. When Gale got word that Sydney was attacked, she went to her residence and told Kenny to get the camera and hurry. Sydney got driven away before Gale could interview her so Gale reamed out Kenny. Gale proceeded to the police station for an interview with Sydney and Kenny tagged along. Kenny's time came to an end when he was at Stu's party and the killer slashed his throat. Brown portrayed characters in movies like, "The Last Shot", "Kids in America" and "Vanilla Sky".

Answer: Frances Lee McCain

McCain, a native of York, Pennsylvania, portrayed Mrs. Riley, Dewey and Tatum's mother. After Tatum took Sydney to her house to stay with her, Mrs. Riley informed Sydney she had a phone call. When Sydney took the phone, she realized it was the killer.

When Mrs. Riley heard the killer through the phone, she got Dewey out of bed. The only other scene in which Mrs. Riley appeared was in the next one when Dewey told Sydney that Billy had been released from jail. McCain had roles in a number of TV series like, "Diagnosis Murder", "Comedy Factory" and "Dallas".

Answer: Joseph Whipp

Whipp, born in 1941 in San Francisco, played Sheriff Burke. He interviewed students shortly after Casey and Steve's deaths. When he questioned Sydney, he asked her how she and her father were doing. Sydney said they were fine. After Sydney was first attacked by the killer, he comforted her at the police station and questioned Billy Loomis, whom Sydney accused of attacking her.

When Tatum got impatient and told Dewey she wanted to go, he spoke with Sheriff Burke a little bit longer. Sheriff Burke later told Dewey they traced the calls made to Sydney the night she was first attacked and said they came from Neil Prescott's phone. Dewey told him it was possible Neil's phone was cloned. Whipp starred in the films, "The Gold Bracelet", "Suicide Kings" and "A Nightmare on Elm Street".

Answer: Linda Blair

Blair had a cameo in "Scream" as a nosy reporter. The day after Sydney was attacked, she arrived at school in Dewey's police car. This was when the reporter asked Sydney how it felt to almost die. Sydney ran off and Dewey told the reporter to leave her alone.

She shouted at Sydney that people had a right to know and also wanted to know. Blair is best known for playing Regan in "The Exorcist" and "Exorcist II: The Heretic". She was seen in many other movies like "Roller Boogie", "Silent Assassins" and "Marina".

Hecht was cast in the role of Neil Prescott, a widow since his wife, Maureen Prescott, was murdered a year before the film's timeline. We first saw Neil when he heard a noise from his daughter's room. Sydney told him he did not hear anything so he told her he was going to bed. Neil was kidnapped by both Stu and Billy after they cloned his cell phone and framed him for attacking Sydney.

Hecht reprised his role of Neil in "Scream 3". His only other acting credit was in the TV movie, "A Christmas Carol", released in 1981.

Answer: Leonora Scelfo

Scelfo had the short role of the cheerleader who bashed Maureen Prescott while Sydney listened to her. After Sydney ran into Billy at school, she had an argument with him and then ran off to the bathroom. When she got to the bathroom, she listened to the cheerleader in the stall while she spoke to her friend about how she doubted Sydney's story of being attacked.

The cheerleader claimed that Sydney made the claim for attention. When Sydney went into a stall to hide and eavesdrop, the cheerleader speculated on a theory that Sydney killed Casey and Steve. On top of how she thought Sydney was the killer, the cheerleader called Maureen Prescott some choice names.

When her friend asked her where she developed her theory, the cheerleader responded by saying she watched Ricki Lake. Scelfo's only other acting credits were roles in the movies, "Power 98" and "Do You Wanna Know a Secret?"

Answer: Wes Craven

Craven, who directed the "Scream" trilogy, had a short cameo in the movie as Fred the janitor. When Himbry got a knock at his door, he went to answer it and nobody was there. He said something rude that Fred the janitor caught. Fred asked Himbry, "What did you call me?" and Himbry said, "Not you, Fred." Craven gave the janitor the name of Fred since he wore a sweater that looked a lot like the one Freddy Kruger wore in the movie series, "A Nightmare on Elm Street", also directed by Craven. Craven directed the films, "Vampire in Brooklyn", "Cursed" and "Red Eye".

McGowan, born on September 6th, 1973 in Florence, Italy was cast as Tatum Riley, Dewey's sister and Sydney's good friend. Tatum was the first one to tell Sydney that Casey and Steve had died. When Sydney's father left town (he was really kidnapped), Tatum invited Sydney to stay at her house. On the night Sydney was first attacked, Tatum arrived late and apologized to Sydney for this.

At Stu's party, Stu asked Tatum to go get some more beer. When Tatum went to the garage, she encountered the killer. Tatum realized he went there to kill her so she fought him off. Tatum tried escaping through a trap door but got caught in it.

The killer pushed the button to open the garage door and it crushed Tatum to death. McGowan was in the movies, "Grindhouse", "Moneybone" and "Encino Man".
