Answer: Jodi Benson

Benson, born on October 10, 1961 in Rockford, Illinois was cast to voice Ariel. Ariel is a headstrong mermaid who wants to be human despite how much her father lambasts them. Near the beginning of the film, she nearly gets attacked by a shark but manages to escape. One night, there was a bad hurricane and Prince Eric fell into the ocean but Ariel rescued him. Benson voiced characters in the films, "Toy Story 3", "The Little Engine That Could" and "Flubber".

Mars, a native of Chicago, Illinois landed the voice acting role of King Triton. King Triton had many daughters and was overprotective of them due to the numerous rules he set for them. He disliked Ariel's longing to be a human and told her they were scavengers as well as barbarians.

Despite his objections, he eventually came to see that Ariel belonged with Eric. As a result, he transformed her into a human so she could marry Prince Eric. Mars guest starred on the TV series, "Police Academy", "Cagney & Lacey" and "Murder, She Wrote".

Answer: Buddy Hackett

Hackett, born in 1924 in Brooklyn, New York lent his voice to the character of Scuttle. Scuttle was a lovable seagull who was often incorrect about things, such as when he told Ariel that a fork was a "dingle hopper" and its main purpose was to straighten out hair.

He also said that a pipe was used to play music. Near the end of the film, Scuttle and his friends interrupted Prince Eric's wedding to "Vanessa" (this was Ursula in disguise). Hackett appeared in the movies, "The Golden Head", "Scrooged" and "Paulie".

Caroll was cast to voice the evil Ursula. In this film, Ursula is a sea witch who loathed King Triton but saw an opportunity to rule the ocean when she discovered that Ariel pined for Prince Eric. Ariel went to Ursula to ask for help and Ursula agreed to transform her into a human for three days in exchange for Ariel's voice. Ursula made Ariel sign a contract stating, if she got Prince Eric to romantically kiss her in those three days, she would be a human forever but, if not, then Ariel would become a mermaid and belong to Ursula.

After Ariel and Prince Eric nearly kiss during the song, "Kiss the Girl", Ursula transformed into a woman named "Vanessa" and used Ariel's voice to try to get Eric to marry her but she was unsuccessful. Carroll appeared on the TV shows, "Foofur", "Trapper John, M.D." and "The Love Boat".

Answer: Rene Auberjonois

Auberjonois, born on June 1st, 1940 in New York City, voiced Louis. Louis was a chef and was advised to prepare stuffed crab for Eric and Ariel after Eric invited Ariel to stay with him in his kingdom. While preparing the crab, Sebastian pinched his nose and Louis was determined to kill him.

When pursuing Sebastian, Louis made a huge mess of the kitchen. Auberjonois was cast in the films, "The Patriot", "Eyes of Laura Mars" and "King Kong" (1976 version).

Answer: Christopher Daniel Barnes

Barnes, a native of Portland, Maine, voiced Prince Eric. After Ariel rescued Eric, he said that a girl rescued him but his friend, Grimsby, disbelieved him and joked that Eric swallowed too much sea water. One day, Eric found a human Ariel and treated her to dinner.

The following day, he took her on a tour of his kingdom and began to fall for Ariel. Near the end, Eric used a sunken ship to impale and kill Ursula. In the final scene, Eric and Ariel sailed away on a ship after getting married. Barnes guest starred on the TV series, "Beverly Hills, 90210", "As the World Turns" and "Wings".

Wright, born in 1915 in London, England lent his voice to Grimsby. While celebrating Prince Eric's birthday, Grimsby removed a sheet to show off a statue of Prince Eric. This led to Eric's dog, Max, snarling and Prince Eric reluctantly praised the gift. During the dinner scene, Ariel blew too hard into the pipe, leading to a lot of smoke covering much of Grimsby's face.

At the dinner, Grimsby nearly ate Sebastian. Wright played characters in the movies, "The Sound of Music", "Topaz" and "Johnny Concho".

Wright was cast in the voice role of Sebastian. Sebastian was a feisty crab who was upset with Ariel near the beginning of the movie when she missed a concert that he oversaw. In one scene, he followed Ariel and Flounder to a secret location that showed a bunch of trinkets which Ariel collected over time. King Triton assigned Sebastian to monitor Ariel's whereabouts after she displayed some eccentric behavior. Marin, born on July 24, 1974 in New York City got the part of voicing Flounder. Flounder was Ariel's good friend and disliked it when she called him a "guppy". In his first scene, he and Ariel are looking around a sunken ship when a shark came up and almost killed both of them. Right after Ursula transformed Ariel into a human, Flounder and Sebastian could be seen helping her get to the surface. Near the conclusion of the movie, Flounder helped Ariel get to Eric's ship to warn him that he was about to marry Ursula. Marin starred in the films, "Back to the Future", "Moving" and "Rock-a-Doodle".

Edwards, a native of Bristol, England voiced Flotsam. Flotsam, along with Jetsam, were two eels who are Ursula's minions and she told them to keep a close eye on Ariel since Ariel might be the key to Triton's undoing. Midway through the film, Flotsam and Jetsam tempted Ariel into visiting Ursula, as they claimed Ursula had tremendous powers. Ariel went with both of them to see Ursula to become a human. During the song, "Kiss the Girl", Eric and Ariel were about to kiss but Flotsam and Jetsam flipped the boat over, which prevented the kiss from occurring. Near the end of the film, Ursula was about to kill Eric by using King Triton's trident but Ariel intervened, causing Ursula to mistakenly kill Flotsam and Jetsam. Edwards guest starred on the TV series', "Dallas", "CHiPs" and "Two's Company".
