Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. In the bank robbery scene at the beginning of the movie, we see all the clowns/bank robbers killing each other. One clown points his gun at the other clown, who turns out to be the Joker, and says "I'm betting the Joker told you to kill me when we got the money". What does the Joker reply with? "I kill the___."

Answer: "bus driver"

The Joker says this to the other clown as a distraction before a bus smashes through the building, killing the other clown. After this, the Joker does kill the bus driver and ends up being the last clown alive, and drives away with the money alone.
2. When the Joker interrupts a mob meeting, he makes a statement about his purple suit. Finish the line: "Oh, by the way, this suit wasn't cheap. ___."

Answer: "You ought to know, you bought it."

The Joker says this to the mob to mock them with the fact that he bought the suit with their money. He said this so they could take him seriously instead of shrugging him off as a nobody, like they had done earlier.
3. The Joker threatens to blow up the building during the mob meeting if they don't let him leave. Angry at this, Gambol says "You think you can steal from us and just walk away?" What does the Joker reply with?

Answer: "Yeah"

The mob is against Joker's plan to kill Batman so he shows them the explosives in his coat so he can escape. Knowing that the mob won't do anything to stop him while their lives are threatened, the Joker is confident in the fact that he can get away unscathed.
4. When the Joker arrives at the fundraiser for Harvey Dent, what is the first thing he says?

Answer: We made it

The Joker says this to all the guests at the fundraiser as a way if instilling fear in the party-goers. In that same day, he has killed Commissioner Leob and Judge Surillio, both of whom had a hand in convicting the mob. He has gatecrashed Bruce's fundraiser to kill Harvey Dent as well.
5. As a tactic to get Batman to reveal himself, the Joker threatens to throw Rachel Dawes off the building. Batman demands that he let her go; what does the Joker say in reply?

Answer: "Very poor choice of words".

Joker says this to Batman at the fundraiser, when Batman interrupts the Joker's hunt for Harvey Dent. The Joker is threatening to throw Rachel off the building if Batman doesn't take off his mask. So when Batman says "Let her go.", the Joker does just that and Rachel falls off the building. But Batman throws himself off after her and saves her before she hits the ground.
6. In a standoff between the Joker and Batman, Batman is charging at the Joker on his Bat pod. The Joker doesn't move out of the way and instead says what?

Answer: "Hit me!"

The Joker believes that everyone has a dark side and wants to bring that out in Batman. Batman's one rule is not to kill anybody. The Joker tries to make Batman break this one rule by forcing Batman to kill him. But this fails and Batman swerves out of the way before he can hit the Joker.
7. While in the interrogation room with Commissioner Gordon, Joker wants to know the time. When Gordon asks what that has to do with Harvey Dent, what does Joker say?

Answer: "Well depending on the time, he may be in one spot or several".

Commissioner Gordon has just arrested the Joker after he, Harvey Dent and Batman drew him out during the car-chase scene. But Harvey goes missing so Gordon interrogates the Joker about it. The Joker hints that there is a bomb involved and that "depending on the time" Harvey may be dead or still alive. Because of this threat against Harvey's life, Gordon decides to let Batman take over with the interrogation.
8. When the Joker is being interrogated by Batman, he reveals that he doesn't want to kill Batman. What does he say his reason for this is?

Answer: You complete me

The Joker has come to enjoy his confrontations with Batman and likes to push Batman to the limit and further. Batman is frustrated by this because the Joker doesn't respond to his methods.
9. The Joker corners Harvey Dent at the hospital in an attempt to corrupt him. During their conversation, what does he compare himself to?

Answer: "A dog chasing cars."

The Joker corners Harvey Dent in the hospital after half of Harvey's face is burnt off.
In his monologue to Harvey he says "I'm a dog chasing cars. I wouldn't know what to do with one if I caught it. I just do things". This means that the Joker doesn't think rationally and just acts upon impulse.
He says this to convince Harvey that it wasn't his fault Rachel died. This later leads to Harvey targeting the corrupt cops of Gotham, as well as Commissioner Gordon and Batman.
10. During the final confrontation between Batman and the Joker, Batman hangs Joker from the building after throwing him off. The Joker says that Batman couldn't kill him because of "some misplaced sense of self-righteousness". What was the Joker's reasons for not being able to kill Batman?

Answer: "You're just too much fun."

From the many confrontations between Joker and Batman, the Joker has realized that he doesn't want to kill Batman anymore, because he enjoys fighting him. The Joker believes that he and Batman will be fighting each other forever because neither wants to kill the other.
