1. Nick Nolte and Eddie Murphy starred as a police detective and prisoner respectively in the film "48 Hours". Who directed the film?

Answer: Walter Hill

Nolte and Murphy also starred in a follow-up, called "Another 48 Hours". The "48 Hours" in the title referred to the two days leave from prison that Reggie Hammond (Murphy) had in order to work with Jack Cates (Nolte) and solve a murder.

In a lengthy film career, Walter Hill has also directed "The Long Riders", "Southern Comfort" and "Brewster's Millions", amongst others.
2. Jack Nicholson and Helen Hunt won the Best Actor and Best Actress awards respectively for which film that they starred in together?

Answer: As Good As It Gets

In "As Good As It Gets", Nicholson plays a writer with obsessive-compulsive disorder, who starts an unlikely friendship with the waitress played by Hunt.

This was the first film to win both Best Actor and Best Actress since "The Silence of the Lambs".

Schwarzenegger and DeVito also starred together in the film "Junior", where Schwarzenegger plays a pregnant man! Ivan Reitman directed both "Twins" and "Junior".

Dustin Hoffman won the Best Actor award at the 1989 Oscars for "Rain Man". The film also won Best Picture.
