1. Our first song of the quiz is "Perfect" which reached number 10 on the Billboard Hot 100 in 2015. Which band from London that includes members named Niall, Liam, Harry, and Louis released the song "Perfect" off of their "Made in the A.M." album?

Answer: One Direction

In 2015 One Direction became the first band to have six of their songs debut in the top ten of the Billboard Hot 100. In addition to "Perfect", the band also released "Drag Me Down" which reached number three on the charts in 2015. In addition to One Direction, several artists have released songs titled "Perfect" including Pink, Simple Plan, Smashing Pumpkins, and Alanis Morissette.
2. In 2015 Beyoncé Knowles had a song that reached number eighteen on the Billboard Hot 100. What is the name of this upbeat dance song that includes the line "Man, this here like rollin' dice, man, this here like rollin' dice"?

Answer: 7/11

The song "7/11" was actually released in 2014 when it peaked at number thirteen. The next four words after the lyrics in the question are "Seven eleven, seven eleven" which repeat the song's title. Beyoncé Knowles was formerly a member of the group Destiny's Child but she has had more success as a solo artist with several Billboard Hot 100 number one songs including "Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It)" in 2008.
3. One of my favorite songs of 2015 was released by the band Fall Out Boy and it reached number 10 on the Billboard Hot 100. Beginning with the words "Some legends are told, Some turn to dust or to gold", what is the name of this song about making a mark on history.

Answer: Centuries

In addition to achieving platinum status by its sales volume, "Centuries" was also utilized by ESPN as its theme song for the 2015 College Football playoff and it featured in the video game "Rock Band 4". The music video for "Centuries" features gladiators and pays homage to the story of David and Goliath from the Bible. Prior to 2015 Fall Out Boy's last Billboard top 10 hit was in 2007 when "This Ain't a Scene, It's an Arms Race" peaked at number two.
4. Occupying the number one spot on the Billboard Hot 100 for twelve weeks in 2015 our next song was certainly a smash hit. Released by Wiz Khalifa and featured in the movie "Furious 7" as a tribute to Paul Walker, what song includes the lyrics "It's been a long day without you my friend And I'll tell you all about it"?

Answer: See You Again

"See You Again" was the first number one hit for Wiz Khalifa since "Black and Yellow" in 2010. Wiz Khalifa is the stage name for Cameron Jibril Thomaz who was born in North Dakota in 1987. "See You Again" was co-written and featured the singer Charlie Puth who had lost a friend in a car accident shortly before working on the song.
5. In 2015 Pitbull and Ne-Yo had their second collaboration reach the top 10 of the Billboard Hot 100. In the music video for the song the artists are saving up money for a New Year's Eve party in 1999. What is the name of this popular song that opens with "I knew my rent was gon' be late about a week ago"?

Answer: Time of Our Lives

The singer Fergie also appeared in the music video for "Time of Our Lives" as she has for several Pitbull songs. Pitbull is the stage name for Armando Christian Pérez whose first two number one Billboard Hot 100 hits were "Give Me Everything" (also with Ne-Yo) in 2011 and a 2013 duet with Kesha titled "Timber".
6. The song "Here" was released in 2015 by an artist that was just 18 years of age and it reached the number seven position on the Billboard Hot 100. What Canadian singer had an unexpected hit with "Here" which was released from her debut album "Know-It-All"?

Answer: Alessia Cara

Alessia Cara was born with the name Alessia Caracciolo to parents of Italian descent. The song "Here" has been labeled as an anti-party song which seems pretty accurate as its first few lines are:
"I'm sorry if I seem uninterested
Or I'm not listenin' or I'm indifferent
Truly, I ain't got no business here".
7. In 2015 Andy Grammer had a song reach number nine on the Billboard Hot 100. With refreshing lyrics about monogamy and being faithful, what was the name of this song that included the line "I could have another but I probably should not I've got somebody at home"?

Answer: Honey, I'm Good

"Honey, I'm Good" struck a cord with me. It acknowledges physical attraction but has a message of staying true to one's love. "Honey, I'm Good" was the second single released by Grammer off of his "Magazines or Novels" album and his first song ever to crack the top 50 of the Billboard Hot 100.

In addition to the success that Grammer had on the charts with "Honey, I'm Good", he also performed the National Anthem in Denver at the AFC Championship game in January 2016.
8. We go from a song about being faithful to a song lamenting the singer's past relationships with needy men and how she used to dispose of them. Released by Elle King, what is the name of this song that reached number 10 on the Billboard Hot 100 and includes the lyrics "They always wanna come, but they never wanna leave"?

Answer: Ex's & Oh's

"Ex's & Oh's" was Elle King's first single off of her debut album "Love Stuff" and the song reached number one on the Billboard Rock and Alternative charts, a rare feat for a solo female artist. The song "Ex's & Oh's" was also nominated for Best Rock Performance and Best Rock Song at the 2016 Grammy Awards.
9. Interestingly, our next artist primarily sings hip hop but his first album was titled "Rodeo". Reaching number 16 on the Billboard Hot 100 which song by Travis Scott opens with the words "Don't you open up that window"?

Answer: Antidote

The song "Antidote" was not originally planned to be released on the album "Rodeo" but its popularity encouraged the artist to include it. Travis Scott is the stage name of Jacques Webster who was born in Houston, Texas in 1992. While "Rodeo" was Travis Scott's first album he released a free mix tape in 2013 titled "Owl Pharaoh" that featured a guest appearance by T.I.
10. Country songs are not very numerous near the top of the Billboard Hot 100 but Chris Stapleton reached number 20 with a cover that he released in 2015. Originally recorded by David Allen Coe in 1981, in which song could you hear the words "I used to spend my nights out in a barroom, Liquor was the only love I've known"?

Answer: Tennessee Whiskey

The popularity of "Tennessee Whiskey" by Chris Stapleton was greatly boosted by a duet he performed with Justin Timberlake at the Country Music Association Awards in November 2015. On the Billboard Country charts Stapleton's "Tennessee Whiskey" reached number one, David Allen Coe's original reached number 77, and a 1983 cover by George Jones reached number two.
