Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. What was the last album recorded with AC/DC's Bon Scott on lead vocals?

Answer: Highway to Hell

My favorite ACDC album. Though Brian Johnson did a fine job taking over the vocals on 'Back in Black', the band's next album. {FYI;} Those 2 albums were produced by Robert 'Mutt' Lange, who later produced the hit album of, and married Shania Twain!
2. Which heavy metal band had a live album recorded in Japan in the 70's that contained tunes like 'Victim of Changes' and 'Diamonds and Rust'?

Answer: Judas Priest

'Unleashed in the East' has some of the coolest screams ever recorded by Rob Halford!
3. Which hard rock band has a lead guitarist named Buck Dharma?

Answer: Blue Oyster Cult

Born Donald Roeser, Buck is probably the shortest lead guitar player on my short list of faves.
4. Which are the two brothers who once played together in a soon famous hard rock band named after an arachnid, hailing from Hanover, Germany?

Answer: Michael and Rudolph

The Schenker brothers played together in the early years of the Scorpions before Michael left to eventually join 'UFO'.
5. Which one of the following is the beardless member of that lil ole band from Texas, ZZ TOP?

Answer: Frank Beard

Ironic, huh?
6. When they first started playing musical instruments, they both learned piano, but ALEX Van Halen also played guitar while EDDIE tried out the drums.

Answer: True

They soon realized that they could play the other's instrument better.
7. What wildman guitar player from Detroit is an avid hunter and owns an 'outdoorsman' store and magazine?

Answer: Ted Nugent

Terrible Ted is still seen and heard on talk shows and radio shows shredding animal rights activists with his opinions. 'You can't grill it 'til you kill it!'
8. What hard rock band raked in millions more than many others in the 70's due to manager Peter Grant's iron fisted negotiating?

Answer: Led Zeppelin

The practice WAS for the local promoter to take in the door receipts and pay the band a portion of it. He reversed that! The band lost thousands from a robberty at one concert depicted on the movie 'The Song Remains the Same'.
9. What uniform is AC/DC's Angus Young known for wearing in concert?

Answer: School Boy

This one should have been easy. The original outfit was made for him to play on the fact that he was the youngest in the band when they formed in the early 70's.
10. Ozzy Osbourne left a very famous band in the late 70's. Ozzy was replaced in that band by a short singer with a great voice. Which band was that REPLACEMENT singer with immediately BEFORE he took Ozzy's spot? (Take it step by step.)

Answer: Rainbow

Ozzy left Black Sabbath and was replaced by Ronnie James Dio, who previously was with Rainbow ('Man on the Silver Mountain'). Before that Dio was with Elf.
