Terry Jacks hit about someone dying and saying goodbye to his loved ones as he dies. This particular lyric comes from the first part when he say's "goodbye to you my trusted friend..."

Hit by the Bay City Rollers where they spell S-a-t-u-r-d-a-y Night for the chorus."

At the time this came out the Rollers were being touted as the next Beatles. Huh?

Hit song and also a movie from the 70's. "Workin at the Car Wash yeah!"
4. "Thank you for your time, you've been so much more than kind".

"... and you can keep the dime". Hit from Jim Croce.

Answer: Stuck in the Middle

"Clowns to the left of me, jokers to the right here I am stuck in the middle with you."
Everybody remembers this song, few can name the artist - Stealers Wheel.
6. "Well, they put me to work in the school bookstore".

Answer: Smokin in the Boy's Room

"Well the teacher was lookin for me all around. Two hours later, you know where I was found" Brownsville Station hit long before the remake in the 90s.
7. "Yours are the sweetest eyes I've ever seen".

Answer: Your Song

Elton John - "You see I've forgotten if they're green or the blue. Anyway the thing is, what I really mean, yours are the sweetest eyes I've ever seen".
8. "Drinks will flow and blood will spill".

Answer: The Boys are Back in Town

Thin Lizzy "...cuz if the boys wanna fight you better let 'em".
9. "I guess every form of refuge has its price".

Answer: Lyin' Eyes

"Late at night a big old house gets lonely..." One of the Eagles' many hits.
10. "You know you got to go through hell before you get to heaven".

Answer: Jet Airliner

Steve Miller Band "don't carry me too far away".
11. "And if you listen very hard, the tune will come to you at last".

Answer: Stairway to Heaven

Led Zeppelin classic that everybody loves - but few know all the lyrics.

Lou Reed's classic with risque lyrics and a great saxophone.

Queen hit which along with "We Will Rock You" has become an anthem at sporting events.

Don McLean had other good songs but he is only remembered for this classic which is the one rock song that EVERYBODY who grew up in the 70s can connect with.
15. "Does your conscience bother you?"

Answer: Sweet Home Alabama

"Now Watergate does not bother me, does your conscience bother you - tell the truth"
Whenever you hear this Lynyrd Skynyrd classic, you have to "turn it up".
