Answer: Charlie Dore

Billboard number 13, May 3, 1980. Charlie Dore grew up in England, and originally trained as an actress. She was part of a country influenced band in the late 1970s called Prairie Oyster. Answer: Joey Scarbury

Billboard number two, August 15, 1981. Scarbury grew up in California and was signed to a recording contract at age 14. His first single never made the charts, but undaunted, he sang backup during the 1970s for many artists, most notably Loretta Lynn, and also continued to write music.

His break came in the late 1970s when he was chosen by producer/composer Mike Post who picked Scarbury to record this song. While he never again achieved Top 40 success he continued to write and has had hits recorded by The Oak Ridge Boys, Eddie Rabbitt and Kenny Rogers.
