Nirvana's song "Smells Like Teen Spirit" was off their second album "Nevermind" (released in the U.S. in 1991), which was produced by Butch Vig and reached number six on "The Billboard Hot 100". After the record hit shelves, Weird Al Yankovic later went on to write a parody of the song in which he titled "Smells Like Nirvana". Kurt Cobain claimed in an interview that he was "flattered' about the parody. Sadly on April 5, 1994 Kurt Cobain was found dead at his Seattle home, from a self-inflicted gun shot wound.

He was only 27 years old.

Good-bye pop music, and hello Lilith Fair! Alanis Morissette can also be seen playing the role of God in the movie "Dogma" staring Ben Affleck and Matt Damon.
