'Dancing On Glass' was the third track on the Crue's fourth studio album titled 'Girls, Girls, Girls', which was released on May 15, 1987. The song had a running time of four minutes and eighteen seconds. Motley Crue's members consisted of Vince Neil on vocals, Nikki Sixx on bass, Mick Mars on lead guitar, and Tommy Lee on drums.
2. "Knock 'Em Dead Kid"
Answer: Shout at the Devil
'Knock 'Em Dead Kid' was written by Nikki Sixx and Vince Neil. It was off the band's second album titled 'Shout At the Devil', which was released on September 26, 1983. This album spawned three hit singles ('Looks That Kill', 'Too Young to Fall in Love' and 'Shout at the Devil') and was a major success for the band.
3. "Home Sweet Home"
Answer: Theatre of Pain
'Home Sweet Home' was a big power ballad hit for the band. It made number 89 on the Billboard Hot 100. It was released off of the 'Theatre of Pain' album in 1985. A slightly different version of the song was later released in 1991 off the band's first compilation album titled 'Decade of Decadence 81-91'. That version also made the Billboard Hot 100, but peaked higher at number 37. Several other musicians have covered the song, including country star Carrie Underwood, whose version was released in 2009. Horror icon Michael Berryman starred in the Crue's original music video for the hit single (he also starred in the video for 'Smokin' in the Boys Room', which was the first single from the 'Theatre of Pain' album).
4. "Don't Go Away Mad (Just Go Away)"
Answer: Dr. Feelgood
September 1, 1989 was the year Motley Crue released the album 'Dr. Feelgood'. The song 'Don't Go Away Mad (Just Go Away)' was released as single number four from the album and peaked on the Billboard Hot 100 at number 19. It also made the Mainstream rock charts and peaked at number 13.
5. "The Animal in Me"
Answer: Saints of Los Angeles
'The Animal in Me' ran at four minutes and sixteen seconds and was first released off the 2008 album titled 'Saints of Los Angeles'. The lyrics to the song were based from text messages between bassist and band leader Nikki Sixx and tattoo artist Kat Von D, who was his girlfriend at the time. 'Saints of Los Angeles' is Motley Crue's ninth studio album and made its debut on the Billboard charts at number four.
6. "Hell On High Heels"
Answer: New Tattoo
'Hell On High Heels' was the first single from 'New Tattoo' (2000), which was the eighth studio album from the Crue. During that time, drummer Tommy Lee left the band and was replaced by Randy Castillo. Other singles released from that album were the title track and 'Treat Me Like the Dog I Am'.
7. "Afraid"
Answer: Generation Swine
'Generation Swine' (1997) was the seventh studio album and also marked the long awaited return of lead singer Vince Neil, who was last with the band during the 'Dr. Feelgood' album. The album spawned two singles...'Afraid' and 'Beauty', which both hit the US mainstream rock charts. 'Afraid' made it to number ten, while 'Beauty' reached number 37.
8. "Hooligan's Holiday"
Answer: Motley Crue
The 1994 album 'Motley Crue' was the only album without original lead singer Vince Neil. He was replaced by John Corabi, whose vocals helped give the album a heavier sound than some of the band's previous work. In spite of this, the album was still considered a failure even though it debuted at number seven on the Billboard 200.
It did spawn the two singles 'Hooligan's Holiday' (which reached number ten on the US Billboard Album Rock Tracks) and 'Misunderstood'.
9. "Mood Ring"
Answer: Supersonic and Demonic Relics
In 1999 Motley Crue released 'Supersonic and Demonic Relics', a compilation album that was chock full of unreleased songs as well as some rare tracks and live material. The song 'Mood Ring' was one of five previously unreleased tracks on the album.
10. "On With the Show"
Answer: Too Fast for Love
'Too Fast for Love' was the debut album for Motley Crue in 1981 under the band's own label titled 'Leathur Records', then released again a year later under the 'Electra Records' label. The song 'On With the Show' was the last track on both of those album versions.
In 2001, an autobiography about the band titled 'The Dirt: Confessions of the World's Most Notorious Rock Band' stated that the song was about Nikki Sixx killing his old persona and original name of Frank Carlton Serafino Feranna Jr. ever since his father wanted nothing to do with him and claimed he had no son!
